Ok. This is great. But the way I see it, if you want a decent remaster of any re-release in the history of remastering, you usualy get dissapointed. It´s so frustrating.
This is new. The IMMERSION series of box sets. I have only studied the content of dark side. It has what we all freaks have wanted since the first ever remastered cd. No compression. Also 5.1 mix and bluray:
DISC 5 – BLURAY, AUDIO+AUDIO VISUAL
-AUDIO: The Dark Side Of The Moon, James Guthrie 2003 5.1 Surround Mix (previously released only on SACD) in high resolution audio at 96 kHz/24-bit
-AUDIO: The Dark Side Of The Moon, Original stereo mix (1973) mastered in high resolution audio at 96 kHz/24-bit
The immersion box set of 6 discs is about 130 bucks. Why the hell can´t we buy only the bluray disc? Oh, the businessmen and their evil ways...... ´cause the first disc is practically the reissues they put out about 10 years ago (?). Bastards.
Another unusual gem on this box set are the alan parson´s "quad mix" that my guess is that its the audio mix for 1973 LP. Available on DVD audio format. Wow! But you have to buy the whole box to get this. Bummer.
It could be due to the fact of piracy and how they can´t make money out of albums anymore, so they have to release box sets with cool stuff to try and get something out of this. Who knows.
It sure seems amazing, anyhow....
On another note, compare this to PJ´s box sets. Although no vinyl are included makes you wonder how much more material could have been included (mainly) on the vs/vitalogy set. Sorry folks, but it is my opinion that it is not worth the amount they charged for it. Wich is why I only bought the vinyls.

I hope they're all as good as the 30th Anniversary DSOTM.
