Lyrical interpretations

Three songs that i find hard to get into and enjoy listening to on a regular basis are Of the Girl, Pilate and Get Right. Why do i find it hard to get into these? I think its because lyrically they are a little obscure and i find it hard to decifer what they are about.

Does anyone have any ideas, thoughts etc...

it's probably just because you don't like those songs very much...

I try to not make things too difficult if I can. Sometimes with music I either like it or I don't... and I try to leave it at that.

That said, I've always really enjoyed the Pilat song I think mostly because of the "stunned by my own reflection" part... that segment of the song sounds real nice to me for some reason

But some of their other songs that I don't get into... I probably don't enjoy because they're really not that good. Hate to say it but no band is perfect... and to quote Les Claypool: "They all can't be zingers."
