so i woke up this morning feeling great after the toronto show, searched for tickets for london and managed to get floors. two awesome soundgarden shows in two days. they are incredible!
highlights from toronto include 4th of july, burden in my hand, gun and slaves and buldozers.
london, too, was awesome with loud love and get on the snake being played. and of course slaves and bulldozers blew the top off the joint again.
chris' voice has never sounded so good, kim was electrifying, ben was ben (although he seemed happier to be there in london) and matt was in beastmode! the band is on. if anyone is still on the fence about seeing them, trust me when i say that you've gotta catch 'em.
Oh how I wish I had someone to go with! The only thing that is keeping me from the Newark & Jones Beach shows this weekend :( These shows are gonna be killer, hope everyone that gets to go enjoys!

So what was everyone's opinion on the opener Coheed and Cambria. I managed to talk to Matt Cameron for a brief bit after the Toronto show, and he said "they are a tough act to follow. He said it was by far the best opening act he has ever seen" . Pretty kind words

There's no shame in going to shows by yourself, especially if it's a band you love. I learned this recently and the world has opened up for me. There are still some pretty sweet tickets to these shows. Actually, that's something I'm really irritated about since I got my tickets ages ago  but that's for another thread.

I went to the London show by myself. I bought a ticket about a week before the show. It was in the 3rd row really close to the stage. Amazing seat. It's super easy to get a single ticket. I also went by myself to the EV show.
Like my friend said to me once, people don't like to go to movies or concerts alone, but why? You aren't there to talk or anything. It's nice to have someone to share it with, but definitely not necessary. I have regretted skipping shows because I couldn't find someone to go with, but I definitely don't regret going to Soundgarden or EV by myself.

Oh I have no problem going by myself! Problem is my mother does. Though I technically a legal adult she is not big on the idea of me going to Jones Beach or Newark especially alone. I live about an hour away from both and are definitely not as familiar with each (not familiar at all with Newark) as I am in, say, NYC (If it was there I'd SO go alone!). Plus I don't have my own car so that poses an issue in and of itself!

Aw man, that's completely different then. Didn't realize you were a young un! Can you make a little trip out of it? Your mom can come into NYC with you on Friday, you go off to Newark, she goes off to the spa, then she goes shopping on Saturday while you sleep in to recover. Win-win, and she gets mad respect from her teenage/adult son for awhile.

I'm going to Philly and Borgata A/C with one of my best friends (met on PJ forum) that I see only once every year or two. I'm so excited!! Then I'm going to Chicago solo - I splurged on the VIP package with the pre-party - but I'm sort of regretting it - don't know if it will be worth it - I've never been to one of those VIP parties. So I hope to meet up with you guys.
**I have an extra pair of SG fan club tickets to the Borgata on 7/14 that I'm selling for face value. The tickets are GA - early entry. Send me a PM if interested.**
...And he who forgets will be destined to remember.
...I swear I never took it for granted. Just thought of it now.

It's a tricky situation, but trying to remember it's just a concert. It's just so hard cuz its the mighty Soundgarden!!!!
