What would you guys prefer?

A. Eddie writing the lyrics and everyone else writing most of the music. (Ten, Vs., Avocado)
B. Eddie writing the lyrics and most of the music. (Vitalogy, No Code)
C. The whole band writing the lyrics and music. (Yield, Binaural, Riot Act)

Even though Yield is probably my favorite album, I think I prefer Eddie writing the lyrics and most of the music. How amazing were Vitalogy and No Code?!

No offense to the other guys, but I also hope that Eddie is in charge of the artwork too. (Vitalogy, No Code, Binaural)

definately C, i think eddie has had enough songwriting in these past years, i wanna hear some more songs written by stone, matt, mike and jeff. lyricwise, ed can write most of them, since he's the best at that.

    Stone should write the lyrics
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

I really think what ever happens when they get together. It's not like it's a planned thing, it's evolving. They get together, play, email, jam and decide. I love that they do it that way, no preconceived ideas. It's always a surprise, not just to us but probably to them as well. :)
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

I would love another "Avocado". I absolutely love the album. I could use another yield or Vs. in my diet too, but right now I would like the punky/ agressive with absolute beauty too.

  • Stone should be writing most of the music and Eddie most lyrics. Then everyone else fills it in.

  • I'd like to see them do a double album. The first disc could be option C and the second disc could be a combination of options A & B. That would be incredible!

I like Yield, Binaural and Riot Act the best so.....

i think they all bring different stuff. my favorite songs are often stone's but the jeff songs and now mike are great switch ups which make the albums fresher and more varied. i forget the options but i'd go with ed lyrics and band music. the best part of pj's music imho is how they mix the simple and sweet riffs with kick ass playing, energy, and solos. ed, i think, keeps the band's writing in a 'keep it simple' attitude which suits all bands best i think.
  • how bout they do what they want too.
I will be what i could be

  • It's got to be Eddie doing ALL the lyrics and then everyone weighing in with the music for me...

Vitalogy is my favorite...so a lot of Ed is my thing. As long Brendan O'Brien produces it I'll be happy.
