    Rick Rubin!

haha, j/k...he needs to stick to metal albums...although, Audioslaves self-titled was a breath of fresh air for rock music, IMO.

    anyways, I say O'Brien

That just made me think of that Seinfeld episode where George pretends to be O'Brien in hopes of seeing MJ play in the Bulls vs. Knicks game.

    HAHAH!

I reckon the band should give it a try. They've been around long enough to know the ins and outs of the business and who better to know what the band should sound like on a recording than the band itself.
The only downside to this would be that maybe a difference of opinion between the 5 of them could cause delays in the new album being released.

If the band do decide to go with a producer then I hope it's Brendan O' Brien

T-Bone Burnett, if they were doing a 'soft' album.

Brendan O'Brien is great though. He seems to work wonders for Pearl Jam and Velvet Revolver yet fucks up Bruce Springsteen.

Brendan O'Brien. The best rock producer in the business!

Wouldnt Steve Lillywhite be kinda cool? Maybe just my opinion as a U2 nerd.
  • Terry Date would be a cool choice - especially if the songs were going to be a bit heavier than usual

I also think Rick Rubin would do a great job but sincerely doubt his perfectionist approach would sit well with the band members

Remember the sticks hitting the wall at the end of RVM?

    Multiply by a million...

Brendan O'Brien would be a good but safe choice

the best pj prodcued albums are the b O' brien ones so he has to right... I agree T-Bone Burnett if it were to be a softer album.. I didn't mind tchad blake either.

I think I read somewhere that Timbaland is producing at least one Chris Cornell song, if it's any good, he should produce other grunge acts, even PJ.

Well, if the boys want a hit record, they should hook up with Glen Ballard...Just Eddie and Glen could write the album in 9 days...

Hey Dave Matthews did it back in 2001...

But if the boys wanna experiment a bit after two fairly straight ahead records...I think they should bring Tchad Blake back...or maybe work with Daniel Lanoi...

I don't know if we need another straight ahead rock record...I'd be down with somethin more atmosheric...

Ok i changed my mind, I think Trent Reznor should produce the next album, or at least remix a couple songs.
