I ordered 3 DVD's from 10c last month and I had them in less than a week. They do great in the shipping dept but I have been a member for less time than you and I have yet to see a copy of Deep magazine.

  • Don't hold your breath waiting for Deep magazine, although it's awesome when it comes.

You are basically paying for the chance to buy fan club tickets, they don't send along a whole lot of other stuff...

You'll get a vinyl single at some point as well...

If you are lucky....I'm still waiting for the 2005 Xmas Vinyl
  • The Ten Club is great. It is only $20. You don't get a Deep magazine for signing up. You'll have to wait with the rest of us.

speaking of Deep, how many issues are there
    I have 3.

There are 3 but there were many newsletters before that, often quite different from year to year. The whole Deep thing is a somewhat new concept that I believe started close to the time of the last studio album.

Though I gotta say, with rising gas prices and everything that is affected by that, it can't be cost effective for them to ship out 2 magazines and a 45 single every year to all the members for $20 per member. And considering the very high fees that Ticketmaster tacks on to regular ticket sales, $20 is really not much at all when you also factor in the ticket presale.

I also do appreciate the fact that Ten Club is an independent and in-house run fan club. So many bands farm out their fan clubs to big businesses these day (LiveNation being the biggest) and they feel so impersonal. Even if 10C is not perfect, you at least know you are supporting the band directly and not the record label or other company owned by a larger corporation that couldn't care less about real fans.

  • I really didnt know what expect from becoming a member. When I signed up I bought a few peices from the goods section, and figured that something about my membership would come with the order...but there was nothing.

It would have been nice if they sent something...even a piece of paper acknowledging my membership.....but its all good....its nice just to support the club, band and community.

Im sure when I do get a Deep mag or Christmas gift it will be that much sweeter of a suprise from out of the blue.

I have to say I really appreciate this post below Samnation.

Give the relatively low $20 membership fee, you do really get a pretty good deal - I was recently complaining to a co-worker about the high cost of the eddie zippo, including the 10.00 shipping (which appearently can't be combined when you order more than 1) and the below made me realize (again) that i don't think they could possibly make much a "margin" to cover their operating costs for most of the gear, posters, etc. they sell all of us when you factor how much everything costs these days (maintaining office space, shipping costs, etc.). I choose to support this great band, and I feel like i'm getting my money's worth!
