Please Stop Whining

I have been an avid fan since 1992. Over the years, I have spent hours in lines, on phones, and trying to find a way to get to see this band since then. I haven't been to every show I wanted to get to, nor have I gotten 'fan club' seats to every show. Actually, I was a card carrying member of the club in the 1990s and let it expire...so my number sucks - maybe that makes me a bad fan. I never post here, and don't often stop by here...and this is largely because there is a vocal minority that has a brutal 'me first and selfish whining' attitude about all things related to the band I love. By reading all this, it is tarnishing the experience of the band for me...as someone who has been around for pretty much all the 20 of the PJ20.

There isn't anything wrong about getting your tickets elsewhere, and those people complaining about this being a known issue for 'years', well, you knew too, and you chose to renew and stay on board, even with the warts in the system...deal with it. There isn't anything wrong with spending time, going through effort, and being a little bit lucky to get the tickets you want to a show. It isn't like the door is closed on you. Stop acting like it is your right to get what ever you want at your own pace. You aren't owed anything more than the next guy...so stop acting like it.

    Get over yourself.

    None of this has anything to do with "tarnishing" the band. It has everything to do with poor customer service and bad planning. If you can't grasp that, then... oh well.

    I shudder to think how some of these folks would react if they encountered, you know, real problems in their lives.

    Yep, there is no excuse for a bad ticketing system that causes a tremendous waste of time by fans and 10c workers.

    when i couldn't get through to get PJ20 tickets for 11 hours i was frustrated but i didn't damn Tim/the 10c nor did i throw a bitch fit because i knew if i didn't get tickets from the 10c i would get tickets from a member or through ticketmaster.
