it really was, and that wasnt the first time something like that has happened, everytime I try to get tickets on this site I fail. We need more shows, what kinda band puts out an album and plays like 15 shows? I mean come on seriously, I know its their decision to tour how ever long they want, but there is still a huge demand for them everywhere.
15? Try 56 shows between 2009 and 2010.
Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

My solution for this pj20 ann.....Would have done 1-2 shows in three different regions of the USA...For an example Seattle, East Troy and New York/Boston....I think it would have given fan club members a better chance to go....But, only let members go to one of those cities with fan club seats...

Jeremy

kinda like what DMB did
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?

Or they could have just picked a larger venue or had a huge open field.

Its a band fan club. Period.

Well actually, not "period." I'm not done.

Its a fan club. For a band. Let that sink in. You're calling for people's heads over it? Get a freaking grip.

I've said this countless times, but there are so many more important things to complain about publicly. If you've got a complaint, take it to 10c personally, with tact and class. But don't come here complaining about trivial shit like a band's fan club and expect that I'm not going to tell you how screwed your perspectives on what's important are. You call for people to lose their jobs because you didn't get tickets to a concert? Yeah...you've got some issues.

So how's this for perspective? Buy the PJ20 tickets through the TM presale or find a friend on here with an extra or get a hold of one from somewhere and then remember this: 20 years from now you will not remember what you paid for that ticket, how you got it, where you sat or how internet-huffy you were the day you didn't get presale tickets and called for people to lose their jobs over it. So I see you're a Twins fan, right? So if Gardenhire has two bad seasons in a row, don't you think someone calls for his head? Think of these ticket sales like 4 bad seasons in a row. Another real world example would be something like this: let's say my job is making presentations for work, right, and I kept making worse and worse presentations. Don't you think at some point I'd lose my gig? I wouldn't make this point if this ticket sale wasn't such a public and spectacular failure. And it's not the first time they've had issues with ticket sales. At some point, you figure out some things don't work, but the same errors keep happening. Maybe no one should be fired, but they should at least consider outsourcing the ticket sales instead of trying to keep building new servers.

It's their job right? You could use that argument for anything in life. A restaurant screws you and shits in your food? Well it's just food right?

I didn't even try for tickets so it's not sour grapes. It's just common sense that you should do your job right. Someone obviously isn't at this point.

Your right, and I correct that. That said, U2360 ticket sales were fixed. How long have we been complaining about these Pearl Jam ticket sales?

AND, if I'm not mistaken, the 2nd leg ticket sales of the Vertigo tour went very smoothly. Mullen did apologize, and guess what? They actually fixed the problem!

I'm sure they had more than 12 hours to fix it. I'm pretty sure from what they posted today they really are going to fix it after the Canadian sales.
It shouldn't have gotten to this point! How are you not prepared for the biggest ticket sale in the bands history? That's like knowing Obama is coming over to your house, having months to prepare, and all you have are crackers and cheese whiz to serve him!
But what if Obama really happens to like crackers and cheese whiz??

In honor of the Macho Man, it's like having Obama over and having nothing but Slim Jim's available.
• i have to say that the initial post was very well written.. yet, no one should be disappointed by a fan stating their opinion/experience/facts.. it might come off kinda harsh, but it's as close to truth as you can be.. and most of the time, let's be real.. truth is ugly. i can't defend someone or something when i feel i don't matter to them. i'd like to really agree that 10club works super hard for us, but to be honest, i don't feel that way because i don't really see it anymore.

i let my membership lapse a few years ago and then rejoined. sometimes i don't know why, but ultimately it's because i am a huge fan/love the band/want to support the band.. and sometimes when i find myself with free computer time, i actually enjoy poking in and out of the forums, and reading most recent news, etc.. but what really drew me back in was the merchandise/special things only us 10clubbers get/and the tickets. i really didn't/don't like having to purchase through ticketmaster, and/or find a scalper/broker. i just feel it more appropiate to support the band and 10club as much as i can, and i enjoy being seated with fellow 10clubbers. so that being said when push comes to shove, since my rejoin in '09 i've been shut out of EVERY big ticket night sales.. MSG, boston, eddie vedder solos.. and now this. besides tickets to cleveland and columbus ohio, all were the same experience i had today. i get tickets in my cart. i start check out process. i enter CC#. system malfunction. i don't understany why so many sales have been just like today... and it's taken how long?? until now? to change it.. and to really apologize.. is it even going to get better? :( :?

i was REALLY looking forward to this festival for two reasons- it's pearl jams 20th anniversary celebration, and my 6 year anniversary of beating osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in my mandible 9/12/05  i graduated from high school, and two weeks later, congratulations, you have cancer. you need to have half of your jaw removed.. pearl jam was/is the ONLY thing to remain true in my life.. so i can't express to you how i was totally counting on 10c to help me better my PJ20 experience, and hopefully get to hang out/meet some awesome dedicated fans like myself. essentially from 1:50pm(est) monday, i DID land myself the travel package at alpine resort, i entered my CC# three times, and system malfunction. the tickets remained in my cart until 3:30am(est) and i couldn't for the life of me do anything to secure them. so seeing how 10c said they'd try to help with people who had pending ticket sales/tickets in their cart, i can't express how disappointed i was when waking up today and seeing that the tickets had been removed due to expiring.. 12hrs of trying shot to hell. so not to bitch about my experience today, but the 10c KNEW how bad the issues were yesterday and they STILL let sales happen. and then today to have the audacity to post that some packages were "TEMP OUT" at 11am on the nose, thanks for the smack in the face. and when i called to inquire.. REFRESH was all i got. SERIOUSLY. :( i didn't see one buy button for three hours, until conveniently "out of stock" finally appeared. the concert isn't until labor day, i feel that NO, 10c doesn't owe us "losers" anything.. but how about just making it right? i understand FULLY life ISN'T fair.. but it's not about fair vs. unfair right now.. it's about right vs wrong.. and what just took place over the past two days was super, super wrong.. and kinda dirty. an apology kind of doesn't cut it when this has been a repeat thing for many many sales..

is it RIGHT that so many had the SAME experience i had today? is is RIGHT that when the store was "closed" many people were ABLE to purchase/secure tickets AND get a confirmation? is is RIGHT to have to sit and refresh for multiple HOURS to get shit in return? i also understand that there are more of us than tickets, but if this has been a problem that's been growing for years... who could help but post something kinda rude.

:( getting off my soapbox you can all judge me/tell me i'm wrong.. but come on.. really sit and think about the situationS.
