What is everyone's opinion on Rockstar's latest release?

Personally I <3 Rockstar games. Red Dead Redemption is a top 3 game ever for me.

So far LA Noire is cool, I just wish more gun fighting and less repetition. But the actual idea of the game is brilliant and so are the cases that they come up with.

I love rockstar games too. Red dEad was awesome.
I was interested in LA Noire, but decided to put it off for a bit. However I did read a few reviews that said it starts slow and the gunfights pick up as you go along, so hopefully it speeds up for ya.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

I've fallen asleep twice while playing it so far. I woke up and forgot what had happened. Maybe I'm getting to old for video games ;)

It's a good game, It seems pretty short so far. I've only played it for maybe 5-6 hours and already have 30% of the game done. It doesn't even seem like I'm very far into the game.

i finished it off over the weekend and thought the story was really good.
it should take around 20 hours of gameplay to finish the main story (not counting any side missions or other miscellaneous missions).
you have to go in with the mindset that it's not a typical Rockstar game like GTA or RDR... the gameplay is a LOT slower-paced in comparison to those games and you actually have to use your skills at deduction (for the interrogations) and total examination of a crime scene is crucial.

overall i felt the game is really good and sets an excellent foundation for any sequels or future games to use the game engine.

It was pretty fun. It was slow at times, but overall a good game. I finished it in a couple of days. I don't have time to play video games much anymore (Last game was Red Dead), but Rockstar games seems to consistently put out solid titles.

so if you buy the rockstar pass, you basically get all the DLC for 800 points or $9.99.
not a terrible deal, although i would've liked to have seen a few more cases and there's a PS3 exclusive case (The Consul's Car) that should've been included.

btw, the final DLC case was released today...doesn't seem as dramatic and over the top as Nicholson Electroplating, but should be fun.
i wish there were more DLC cases, but apparently this is it.

    I really enjoyed LA Noire.

Rented it from RedBox and never finished it...gonna have to pick it up again.
  • It's a decent game. I must go back and finish it as well.

I like it a lot. The one criticism I would have is the repetitiveness, but... I think Rockstar once again turned a new leaf in the world of gaming with this one. It's a formula and idea that I'm sure will be the foundation of many great games for a while to come.

i guess this is the last DLC made available...too bad it's not available as part of the Rockstar Pass.
ah well, i'm on Xbox, so it doesn't matter anyway.

COD MW3 is the big news today, but the PC version of LA Noire is out today as well.

("complete edition" with all the DLC is out on PS3/Xbox next week).
