I have an Idea!!!! Unplugged related.

My friend Kelly Ann is the niece of MTV Unplugged's own Alex Colletti. He is the man behind the idea of MTV Unplugged. Now im good friends with her (for 10 years now), I never came to the conclusion maybe she can swoon him into irking MTV to release Unplugged on DVD.

It would be great if this was on DVD but I don't think it will be, the show is too short, like 30 mins?

and plus, they also have some songs filmed that never made it to airing

I have a question Kelly Ann. Im sorry its a question about your uncle, and maybe about him being the greatest person alive. Ok here it is lol.. as u know im a big fan of the band Pearl Jam, and I've told u how awesome it was he got to meet them on MTV Unplugged, well they released Nirvana's unplugged from 1993 on DVD last year, Pearl Jam performed on there in 1992, at the same time on a Pearl Jam website this is a 390 page thread of Pearl Jam holding a petition to have the dvd and cd of the show released. Now im asking you Oh so kindly, if you can maybe relay this exact message to him, because your such a wonderful person and always have been lol.

Or maybe if there is a way I can get into contact with him, id greatly appreciate it but if u let him know before hand I would like to speak to him. If you can do this, it would be FANTASTIC, and it would truly mean a lot to me.

Pearl Jam to me is a greatest band in the world lol, I have a tattoo of it for Christ sake. So if you can get back to me either here or on AOL, that would mean a lot.

Release it with Garden and Leash in tact. As long as I've loved this band, I'm not sure if I've ever heard those two from the Unplugged show. Does the audio or video exist...anywhere?

Outside of the vault at MTV, I doubt it....at least not one that has circulated anytime recently...

I actually have a family friend named Vance who's Alex Colletti's brother, what a coincidence! Maybe the two of us should work on Alex from different angles

Maybe someone should work on the band. Don't you think that this would already be released if it was solely up to MTV? I think they already know that releasing this would be a big moneyspinner for them

Thank you for pointing that out. It's a band decision and definitely not an MTV decision. Just look at how many other MTV Unplugged CDs and DVDs that have been released.

If you look at both performances from a aesthetic point of view, the Nirvana DVD is much more professionally shot than the PJ session.

Obviously we all want the PJ version to made available on DVD but sometimes these things are better in bootleg format.

Not everything needs to be mass marketed to the world. Just be happy that you have seen it at all...

If Pearl Jam did the Storytellers in 2006 they sure can do a new MTV Unplugged , i mean why not??? Some would say it would mean a selling out but getting yourself out there is not selling out especially if they do that in their style. I mean if they do a new Unplugged and play some obscure songs like Wash , Soldier of Love + Immortality , Indifference etc. It might be one of the greatest MTV Unplugged concerts ever(at least for us :P) + some younger rock listeners might discover them or appreciate the band more + DVD release that never was for the first Unplugged.
Who knows, we'll see, i sure hope so that this would happen in the near future!!!
