I think it would be cool, if they opened up for PJ. I like them alot, and August And Everything After is a GREAT cd, is it not? I also think they were one of the better 90's bands. I didn't get a chance to listen to their newest album.
Perfect Blue Buildings has to be my fav song from them.

This thread would be much better if it were the black crows.

I hear a lot of shit spoken about them and most of it is down to the fact that they've occasionally written 'pop' songs (and we PJ fans are oh-so-sophisticated.. pop is so beneath us, or should I say 'pap', meh he he heh).
The rest of the criticism is based on Adam Duritz himself, and totally avoids the fact they make music. 'He's got fake dreds so he's a douche.' Clever that.
Make your own opinions. Don't follow the hype people.
Sorry, got a bit militant for a second there. On topic, Counting Crows opening for PJ would further weaken my control of my bodily functions.

Oh at least Duritz would be preferable to Sleater Kinney I suppose.
Bring on Ringo Starr, he could play the ghost of Yasser Arafat.
I have heard they are very hit or miss. I've also seen them twice and they were fucking great, both times!

Explain why he's a jerk. I saw them in August and they were amazing, though some people there didn't "get" it. I overheard someone saying Duritz was drunk so he messed up Round Here, when it was really that they were doing an extended version of it.
Also, in Rolling Stone in like 1993 they had a feature on CC and I believe there was a complimentary quote in there from Ed.
