    Corporate America supplies hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people with secure, good-paying jobs with health benefits. We cannot deny that. But, it seems to me that the cons are now outweighing the pros. We now live in a Corporate Oligarchy, many of you would agree, and we have let Corporate America dictate to us, the People, how we live our lives. Instead of Technological Determinism, which is an extremely important and terrifying issue in my opinion, we are now subjected to Corporate Determinism: Corporate America, and not humanity, decides how we "progress"; they are in control of the future. The People no longer matter. "We the People" has been destroyed. And, the worst part is, we the people love this situation. This is obvious as we live our lives like the docile sheep we are, bleeting and babbling through the aisles at Wal-mart and the materialistic, consumeristic corridors of shopping malls. We like being zombies: we don't have to think!!
