Knew it would be. Ferrer is always going to be in that 5-10th in the world range. and aside from del Potro, no-one's really come out of that spot with a major in the past several years. Fed/Nadal/Djok/Murray seem to own the tennis world right now. Ferrer is great....but not elite.
There are a lot of guys that can make a run if they play their best tennis throughout an entire major (Tsonga, Ferrer, del Potro if he's healthy, Berdych), but it's tough. Odds are you have to beat 2 of the aforementioned players to win a major. That's crazy.
I always thought Cilic had the game to win a major, but he never plays his A-game for an entire 2 week tournament.
