In the video it blinks the Bible verse Genesis 3:6
Im not really religious, never read the bible, so what does this mean?
Genesis 3:6 (New King James Version)
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
eating from the tree of knowledge was forbidden and this woman corrupted adam. not sure how it ties into jeremy
Actually, Eve was tempted by Satan himself.
Adam was tempted by some bitch handing him an apple.
What a dumbass he was.
And from that act, all men would suffer dumbassness.
Adam and Eve thought that the fruit looked ripe and delicious, they were told that the tree lead to something they wanted - knowledge. They were also told that they shouldn't eat the fruit... The end looked like the only way out for Jeremy, the 'nirvana' he wanted, if you will. Death held release and an end to the pain he was experiencing, even though he knew it was wrong.
Eve was tempted by the tree, she wanted a better life even though what she had was good enough. She took Adam to the tree and influenced him also, just as Jeremy changed the lives of those in his class. Selfishness could be a connection.
My interpretation of the connection to Jeremy is that the grass isn't always greener on the other side... suicide is not the answer, appreciate and change what you have without taking the easy route or others with you, it only leads to more pain.
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
p.s i like Auidiosian's post!

Fanks Sen I thought people might think I sound pretentious
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
Oh, please.
If you read the verse where Eve is actually talking to the serpent, you'll notice that Adam was standing there the entire time, and not once did he say anything or try to stop her. Then as soon as he was caught, he blamed her and God, for giving her to him: "But...but...the woman you gave me made me do it!"
The point of the story is that BOTH man and woman sinned, and BOTH suffered for it.
Not sure how it ties into Jeremy...guess he gave into the temptation of ending his life?
Sort of like Adam and Eve eating the fobidden fruit and having their eyes opened to the evil of the world. . . when "jeremy" does this he is opening everyone elses eyes to a kind of evil. . . then commits suicide in front of them. . .
just my opinion.
Great post! I didn't think of that
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
That's because Adam wasn't paying attention. He was checking out Eve and was trying to figure out how he was gonna get his skin. He was NOT paying attention to the f'in snake. Then, it was HER who turned to him and offered him some APPLE. He thought "oh, this is gonna be easy", and said "yeah, food" (which is where, by the way, the quote about the "way to a man's heart is through his stomach" got started)
Now, how typical is THAT? ADAM: "I didn't do it. It was her fault. And God's. Yeah, it was God's fault, not mine."
I'm pretty sure that your tie-in connection sounds about right!

I think this is a little bit closer to "Satan's Bed" Than "Jeremy"
But That's just my opinion.
After Eve (Marge) got blamed for eating the fruit, then she was cast out of the garden, then Adam (Homer) got Gary the unicorn to help him dig a tunnel to the outside to bring her back.
I love that episode. "So THIS is what pain feels like!"
the Simpson's episode is great
What’s self destruction and how can we last?
