He told me he KNOWS he has several PJ albums, and that he would GIVE them to me. He guarantees they are unopened.. thing is, they are in NO order :( this blows.

Granted the magnitude of it would make it suck, but that would be awesome to just spend an entire day going through his collection to see what he has.

I would say nothing about that sucks. What an awesome time, the search followed by the find.

Keep us posted with what you get.
  • I mean I can try.. too look up and down the rows, for like hours lol. You literally have to see how many their are. Its crazy. He gave me the Beastie Boys Licensed To Ill on Vinyl lol.. pretty cool.

Im gonna ask him, if I can search for them. Some are hard to get to, uz they are in the garage, blocked off by bikes, and shit.

He indeed does. I was over there this past summer, he was telling me how he saw Led Zep, and The Who.. etc etc. He's 55 so he isnt much of a PJ fan, but he told me he likes them.

Every time Im there, he is in the basement with the record player on.

I HAVE to take pictures, and show everyone on here. It's pretty crazy, I saw he has TEN on cassette also. His cassette collection is nuts too. Although he has a lot of my fathers in it, they use to trade lol.

i'll probably be like him in the year's to come. i got alot of records, shelves of music. just need to upgrade my record player. if only i could find a 7.1 surround sound speaker system that can work with my fisher price kids record player, then i'm set! lol. i have a kenwood old vintage one, but need to replace the needle. i just got in friday the led zeppeling - the song remains the same remastered 4 lp box set. it's sweet. haven't spinned it yet. smell of the lp is sweet!

  • That link didn't work, but I can imagine it's a pretty hep spinner....For some reason, although I have amassed about 1,000 records, I no longer have a turntable and my husband thinks I want one that costs $10,000...

But on our last trip to Seattle, he bought more vinyl than I did! Now we have all the Shins records...and I got LOTL and Vitalogy promo (sealed)...

just a suggestion, set a reasonable time frame and then methodically go through his stacks.have a pad of paper with you , so you can write down what strikes you as being worth checking out.and charting where they are.

seems immense but if you start small you'll be through them in no time.

Then suck up to this man so he wills these to you!lol

I have a client at work Brian, I went to his house to check out his record collection, and got the surprise of my life......he had over 60,000 (i'll try and post some pics later when i get home), he broke out Even flow, popped it on this mad record table, called valves or something in his seperate studio, cranked it up, and I've never been so happy listening to music in my entire life. That was the day i finally GOT vinyl. Seriosuly felt like I was there at a gig or something, the sound was phenomenal, obviosuly much will eb down to that guys set up (which cost thousands), but I didnt want to move, He popped on Jeff Buckleys Grace then, and my word, spellbinding.

That collection must be worth hundreds of thousands, he had like every 45 every record etc that Alice Cooper ever made, every beatles single, every floyd, led zepp, the doors, the who, and every quirky name you never heard, I thought i was sat with John Peel
