    HOW DO I DO THIS.[

    Just by listening.....;)
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......
  • I doubt it's easy to do at a PJ show, but it wasn't too hard to at least shake Ed's hand and say hello before his solo shows.
  • Is there any way you could create your own single thread in order to consolidate all of of your posts about buying poster books, asking if your poster is any good when you obviously know it is, letting us know you want to learn to play guitar, selling posters from your bathroom floor for $100, trading posters, asking if we get shit for liking pearl jam, asking if the band members lip the lyrics (?) or asking us how to meet the band? Maybe call it daily affirmations of Jeremy's Spoken or something. That would be awesome. Thanks!

Congrats on the Met tickets btw. I scored Philly tickets.

I definitely wouldn't say "hey, its ed and the guys" :)

But if you're lucky you never know... its tough meeting them @ shows because its very rushed in and out, but with a little luck many people meet them. Not me... yet...
  • wow.. you really seek out my threads. It's quite scary.

Nothing to seek out. Seems there is always a fresh one right on the top half of the first page :)

And this is much more scary:

    "HOW DO I DO THIS.

  • i have gotten to meet the band on numerous ocassions i have photos with the whole band which is not very easy to do because they are not fans of photos especially Ed. Pearl Jam for as big of a band as we all know they are, are very humble and nice i have had the oportunity to get many things autographed by them chat with them from time to time....

why? theyre just people like you and I, going out of your way to meet them, ie waiting outside hotels/venues is like stalking.

I met Ed with a few other fans before New York I and he was really cool. I had no idea what more to say to him than "thanks". I had never planned on meeting Ed and never thought I would. It was awesome.

I'm sure this is just what the OP wanted to hear.

What, do you also have front row seats at every concert, 3 copies of Benaroyal on vinyl, and the Reenk Roink cd?

    Just kidding.

I've heard that's it's pretty easy to meet Stone at a Brad show- either before or after the show. When I saw them back in 97, my friends didn't want to stick around :(

Yeah I am thinking 16-18ish but some of the posts are what I think you would find on a n'sync or new kids on the block message board.

"Do u think the gay one ever lips lyrics when he's not singing?"
"OMG, I got the new sticker book!"
"I want to learn to play the keyboard like don does!"
"Like, do you ever get shit in homeroom for liking new kids?"
"OMG, how do I like, get to marry the blonde dude and get him to sign my breasts!"

Actually, you hit the nail on the head as JS said in a previous post/thread that they take shit for liking PJ because they were born a year before they came out. that would put them at 18/19. by the way, i laughed my ass off at your post, hopethatuchoke.

Careful newbie....you have to admit, even to yourself, 1000+ post in 6 months, even to the most dimmed witted among us, you look like a desperate bandwagonner. Oh, are you gonna rip me now because I live in Missoula- oh wait, you cant because Jeff lives here right? I think what people are trying to say is "quality over quanity" when it comes to starting threads and you do seem to start a thread over just about every PJ related thought that enters your head.

Desperate band wagoner? Why? Because I buy stuff I like related to the band? Dude please, go hold hands with him. If you dont like what I post easily dont read. I mean its simple as that, it shows he has no life if EVERY one of my threads, he has enough time to make a remark.

I gotta admit JS: 230 threads in 6 months is absolutely insane. I have 78 and I thought that was a lot, and I've been here longer.

HOLY SHIT  didnt realize it was that many!!!

    BUT

lets not forget why he's here....same reason most of us are here. This is his very first post to keep it in perspective.

Hey guys, I decided to sign up after lurking for a while..

My story, Name is Brian Im from Staten Island NY, 17 years old, will be 18 in June.. Im a fairly new PJ fan.. started to listen to them Hardcore in 2004 (I know, it blows.. Im aware that they have achieved a HUGE fan base before I started listening .. so I was a late bloomer..)

I can not express how MUCH PJ has gotten me through. In February of 2005 I lost my father I took it extremely bad, but listening to songs like Alive,Black,Yellow Ledbetter, rear view mirror, cover of crazy mary.. Ed's voice lifted my spirits, and it was if through the lyrics they were telling me it's gonna be alright. 4 years later everyday since.. I have listened to Pearl Jam EVERY night before I go to sleep. I sit back at night lights off, listening to The Gorge Box set, Lost dogs, Ten, Vitalogy.. and just drift into deep thought..

Pearl Jam's music, Vedder's lyrics, Mike's guitar, Matt's drums.. they all flow together and the sound they make is genius. I have never seen them live EVER.. I missed out on every local show.. like Garden in 2003 Continental...etc.. I hope to make it out to Bonnaroo this year, if not.. I hope the swirling rumors of them doing MSG come true!

Im sorry for sounding stupid.. I just wanted to express my love for one of the greatest bands of our time, and how they have helped me get through tough times.. Nothing helps my day when it's shitty than popping in a PJ CD.. ALL is well in the world when Ed is singing..

Nah, I don't feel like shit at all. I feel great!! Probably because I own the Ames poster book. You know exactly how I feel. Yay Ames! Lets go meet the band!

And judging the entire city of Philadelphia based on my accurate comments on the quality of your posts/every independent thought you have throughout the day is so unfair. Leave the other assholes out of this, it's me you want to insult.

And that chant about David Wright...it's true!
