    I have never understood how somebody would take sports so seriously that they would beat somebody into a coma. And I'm not saying that as somebody who doesn't like sports, I love football, baseball and hockey. But I can't see ever beating anybody up over it. I hope the Dodgers come in last place, just to fuck with those guys.

    As a Dodger fan (not FANATIC).. I was sick from this story. I don't understand the mentality either but please know that the suspects were gang-banging POSs, and not representative of most Dodger fans.

    Was glad to help with a car wash and other fundraisers in my area to help Brian.

    I was at a Winnipeg Blue Bomber/BC Lions game once. Friends of mine were in town from BC. My buddies would cheer for the Lions, naturally. It's a fucking SPORT, cheer for who you want to. These dirtbag Bomber fans tried to start a fight with my two buddies, taking swings at them and everything, completely unprovoked. I was embarassed to be a Bomber fan that day.

    I was so happy to see they apprehended at least one of the suspects. I'm assuming it's only a matter of time before they get the other one and the woman driver.

    I hope they get the maximum sentence as well.

    I know I may be hounded for saying this, but sports obsession is a serious problem!! That, combined with hate will always get people in some serious trouble. We need to get away from being obsessed with sports teams.

    I understand what you’re saying Jeanwah, but obsession with sports is not different than obsession with say, Pearl Jam. You will have idiots in both groups, it’s the people not the sport that makes them do what they do. I’ve witnessed Philly fans at their absolute worst and at their absolute best.

    Again, it’s the people, not the obsession.

    Yeah I guess you may be right. But being obsessed with anything can cause irrational behavior, Pearl Jam included. So it's not necessarily the people, but the obsession itself.
