So why do you have an issue with 10C then???????
because this purchase would not have been possible if both parties had their ducks in a row...get it? LiveNation had no clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".

Sawyer, hope you get your money back....but calling out the 10C seems like a bit much, in my opinion. good luck with the ticket sale tomorrow.
not calling them out...they are wonderful people...just hoping for a more detailed explanation from how it got to this point w/o being caught.....they have always treated us fairly and I know that. However, I think constructive criticism is good for everyone. We can make this community stronger0 -

I really don't get how 10C let you down , they secured a good amount of tickets for the fan base you decided to go another route and score your own tickets the one's that screwd you as i see it are LN .
i cannot figure out how logical people do not see the 10 Club as 1/2 of this botched tandem.0 -

Those who purchased these packages and offered box seats as close as the 6th row, WILL NOT BE receiving those promised seat locations. All NEW season ticket package purchasers will be re-located BEHIND the Ten Club seats.
Please keep in mind that Alpine Valley does have a number of existing season ticket holders who have priority options to purchase those tickets. The Ten Club respectfully acknowledges these pre-existing ticket holders and their right to purchase their tickets. Some of these tickets may be located in front of Ten Club allocated tickets.
Live Nation and their ticket office have been very helpful in securing as many tickets as possible for The Ten Club. Their representatives feel horrible about this miscommunication and they apologize for any misunderstanding.
Thanks, Tim

was 100 tickets..20 for 10c,20 fror alpine,20 for live nation,20 promoters,20 mutherfuckinticketcompany
they made the deal..suddelny 10c saw that livenation sold to someone ticket that was the one they had for them and 5 times the prices up..and let know all their costumers about the mix, before sales start, and before others go to livenation and buy tickets that livenation DONT have...
yeah right...i would be mad with 10c ,cos is the only secure EASY way to complain about all.."...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".

I think people are being too rough on Sawyer.
I understand completely what he is doing and saying. He's not saying this is ALL 10C's fault. He's obviously pursuing a resolution with LN. But I absolutely agree that 10C could have prevented this. Communication is key. They are at least partly responsible for this mess.
With the resources that a band as big and successful as Pearl Jam should have, stuff like this shouldn't happen. I agree that 10C does its best to help us all out. But there have been many times that I've experienced things or read about other members' experiences that make me feel very much like they are just in over their heads. Mom and pop shop is a pretty accurate description IMO. It frustrates me personally when things don't run more smoothly, especially after doubling the cost of membership. This whole situation was avoidable. I hope everyone involved can find a nice resolution for Sawyer. And if that resolution can somehow include getting me to PJ20 then I would appreciate that very much.0 -

thank you for being a realist..its rare in these parts0 -
Anyone else sad this happened? 10C worked hard to put together something special for us. LN clerk just doing his job without knowing any behind-the-scenes deals, Sawyer understandably angry over his cool deal going south? LN dropping the ball? Sounds to me like Sawyer is trying to maintain his cool with us members, responding in kind to posts in whatever frame of mind they're sent to him . . . angry if they're mean, nicer if they're not. I feel he's just trying to explain why he's upset. Personally I don't see 10C as being at fault, as the deal was not made with 10C, but as was pointed out, we don't know the details between 10C and LN.
Anyhow, I hope things work out satisfactorily for all parties and that everybody end up with a great PJ20 experience. It's a very special thing.0 -

It is kind of distressing reading this thread, and reading people turn on each other and turn on the 10C again - especially with the real big event brewing tomorrow.
It sounds to me that all will be resolved - this situation surely only affects a very few board members, and I am sure LN will reimburse them appropriately.
Just needs a bit of time. And that time in the fresh air sounded a good idea to me.Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

it will get sorted...just kind of a bummer0

think its time everyone got outside and off this board0
-
Am I right in thinking this entire thread is basically affecting 1 or 2 people? That's kind of nuts by itself.
As for which side people are on... I feel like this thread is when you go to a restaurant and something is cooked wrong or they put something on it you asked not to be on it.
And before the person can even try to fix it, they are already demanding the food be recooked for free with a free dessert, etc. I mean... if they refund the money they've fulfilled their obligations since nothing was signed with regards to a season ticket contract.
I dunno... as bad as I feel for someone who thought they had 6th row and then had it pulled from beneath them... threatening lawsuits, BBB, chicago tribune 'problem solver' ... just too much.
Scalp your immortality 7"s and go to stubhub, I guess... I think you were asking about that much for that 7" anyway.0 -
I only have two things to say.
First, in your letter to Michael Rapino of Live Nation, you might want to refer to him as Mr. Rapino and notDear Mr. Sarpino,
and second, in terms of a lawsuit against them, do you really think you can outspend and out maneuver Irving Azoff?0 -
Not without an inked deal and no money ever changed hands.0

I'm just wondering what would've happened if Sawyer never brought it up on this board to begin with? Not saying it was wrong to do it at all, just wondering what would've happened? Would he have been good, or would he have shown up at Alpine only to find some people with the same seats, or what?"In certain trying circumstances...profanity furnishes a relief denied even to prayer." - Mark Twain0
-
Sawyer should call his CC company and see if he has been charged the $2700 yet.
If not......nothing more than miscommunication.0 -

So, are you implying that a 'normal' person should not take on someone/some firm 'bigger' than them if they have been wronged (though I think that in this case, Sawyer was just venting)? Should one let himself/herself get walked all over just because there is someone with major resources doing the walking over?
As I said, in this case, lawsuit would certainly not be appropriate but what you are saying is quite awry. Though, I'm assuming you were being flippant?
Sorry if this post is 'out of context of the thread'. The comment just rubbed me the wrong way. Will say no more about this.0
