So why when most people share their member # do they x-out the last few digits? i.e. 434,xxx. Is there a real purpose? Is someone going to hack into your 10c account? It's not like its your social security number :?

    I do that in those threads simply because I can't remember the whole number....

    i can never remember if it's 191xxx or 195xxx, so i got no chance of remember the last 3 numbers.

    i'd have to look in my phone to tell ya my wife's phone number.

    Yeah, I've always wondered this too but true, it is easier to remember the 1st 3 digits vs the whole lot. :)

    I'm just happy that after an 11 month absence of payment they gave me back my 414,975 number!!! which is my third 10c number in the last 20 years...LOL And I remember all of them! weird I can REMEMBER numbers but can't work with them!! For example, I can remember all of my childhood addresses, zip codes included, and every phone number I've ever had, but can't do anymore than basic math..I always thought that was strange..

    I think it use to be the default password to your 10club account "back in the day".

    So if you had a problem with your account, the 10c staff would reset it to that, so people didn't want to give it away, although I'm not entirely sure.
