Seems perfectly reasonable to me. Those heaters don't work properly anyway. They're a blatant waste of energy.0

They don't work well when it is windy.
I find that they work fine for me here in lovely violent Melbourne.
As if people will use blankets, what a joke.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

They could always eat inside if it's cold outside.0 -

Well here in Melbourne a lot of the time it is hard to get a table inside, to get one means waiting a while, especially in Little Italy (Lygon Street).Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
Wah, wah wah. Let the diners starve then, if they refuse to eat inside when it's cold out. What a bunch of whiners. :roll:0

If only we had Perth weather, everytime I see the weather report it is 24 there.
Here it is icy in winter.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
In winter time when I was a kid, if we forgot to close a door to the outside with the heat going my father would ask, "What are trying to do- heat the all outsoors?" Made sense to me as a kid- so why do adults think it makes sense to indulge overly spoiled whiney customers by trying to heat the all out doors?
I wouldn't so much call this is a "Greens influence things" issue (not that I mind that!) as a "reasonable people making reasonable choices" issue."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -
the greenies ARE GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM COMPLETE AND UTTER DISTRUCTION and I'm still running for president and when I win the drilling will start.. OIL FOR EVERYBODY !!! and I'll give everybody that dosen't vote for me a hanky (offical president hanky) to wipe that ugly greenie off their nose's.

what ever happened to putting a jumper on.
christ people are lazy and self absorbed
I have live d in my area for a long time quite close to a popular dining strip.
used to be a very buzy vibrant place in summer, spring and auttum, alfresco otdoor dining at its best,
during the cold times less people ventured out, alfresco dining slowed to nothing.
now everyone uses heaters outside and sometyimes it can be buzy but throow in wind and they do not warm you.
so what are the heaters there for
PROFIT and thats all, sure they keep the punter comfertable but at what cost to our panet
cant we make do with BOOKING A TABLE INSIDE instead of just rocking up and sitting under a heaterAUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE0 -

please show me where i mentioned climate change.
I love my planet, my home I recognise that the vast numbers of humans swarming over our planet are depleting recources at a rapid rate. that we use technologies that are old and outdated. that we are pumping more and more stuff into our atmosphere and taking away the filters that restore the balance.
I dont mind paying a carbon tax, my only gripe is that the monies raised actually go into improving technology not standard gov coffers.
when i was young if we got cold we put more clothes on, not pay to generate heat, when it got to hot we sat in the shade where a breeze was blowing. not get the air conditioner pumping.
we have gotten fat and lazy. the sign of a fading societyAUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE0
