So if I'm on the phone on 4/11 at 9:59 a.m. with a ticketmaster rep, do you think I could get a decent pair? somewhere low, 100s or on the lower sides?

the best move is the phone or to be at a ticketmaster location in person

the internet will be a joke

im not saying people wont get good seats

but a whole helluva lot more will get crap
    or probably nothing

Often, decent tickets will drop later on at random times before the show. That's how I got floor tickets to Bruce in Rochester one week before a show that was said to be sold out, directly from ticketmaster. I also got a decent ticket to U2 in Montreal on the SAME day as the show. Not saying it will happen here, but just reporting my experience if its of any help. (You have to keep checking frequently when you think of it)

Thanks. I've never bought tix through them. I'm reading all these horror stories online about them. People not getting the seats they were supposed to get. Getting seats with an obstructed view. Hope it all goes smooth for me. I'll be trying for night 1.

And if not, there´s always the scalpers. Of course I hope everyone will get tix for this through TM, but if the server crashes on the 11´th, I´m not giving up...

  • When ordering by phone should I call the NYC number or should I call the number thats in my area?

  • Plenty of tickets will be available for all. The good seats will be sucked up fast but these shows wont sellout till a few weeks before the show, if at all. The reason for this is: If i were a casual fan i would not pay $84 bucks for a nose bleed. They need to have tiered pricing for the bad seats.

exactly the 400's will be available for awhile,, but who wants to be in heaven for pearl jam?

whenever i try for impossible eagles tickets, i usually call the outlets that are away from philly: pitt, ac, baltimore, etc. there is less traffic and i can usually get at least one game, dont know if it will be the same for this show though
Small my table, seats just 3, its not crowded, its just lucky me

    seriously

you will be lucky to get any tickets through TM, and I would bet that if you got through at 10:00:01, the 300s come up, then 400s, then none in about two minutes.

    by whatever method

and it will be sold out in less than 5 mins.

    damn scalpers

I do not know one person that was able to get 200s or better for an "in demand" MSG show through the general public onsale

I thought TM doesn't want calls to retail outets, especially for high volume shows.
  • I buy a lot of concert tickets and I've never had even the slightest problem with their website. They have the servers to handle many, many, many connections. Its not like the 10C site. If you time it right you can get excellent seats. The only times I've wound up with seats I was unhappy with were if I didn't feel like paying a billion dollars and just bought the cheapest seats outright.

That said I've known a few people to have incidents with TM. It seems that older computers and older browsers don't work particularly well. I've used Firefox and IE and both did the job. One thing of note that I noticed for a show recently was that if you go to the site too early and keep refreshing the page when the tix actually go on sale you may be locked out so in which case you'd need to open another browser (if you had firefox open ie or vice versa).

Also be patient. When it tells you you have a certain amount of wait time that number is usually wrong (I've had it say my wait time was under a minute and then wait 5 minutes). Just sit through it. Don't hit refresh or back or anything.

For those not familiar with MSG, in my opinion there are actually very few really bad seats. The sound is usually great everywhere except I've noticed the highest deck has lower volume. The views are fairly decent as well.

Great thanks! Nice to get a description of the Garden! I would be happy to be just somewhere in the building, but pof course it would be nice to get at least decent seats as well

Ticket Scalpers to be honest with you are in a bind due to Ticketmaster taking away alot of outlets. This is due to LiveNation's agreement with Ticketmaster not to be selling tickets for events in 2009. Ticket scalpers that are at an outlet (only around 20 or so outlets in the New York/NJ/Long Island area )will cut the millions of hits ticketmaster.com will have to grab those seats. Basically there are not that many tickets for scalpers to sell for PJ shows because the 10C takes the whole Floor and Lower Level at MSG. The upper deck and maybe the side section behind the stage will be available when tickets go on sale. Scalpers are going to have crappy seats and no one will buy them. 10C got the best tickets and we should be thankful for that the band looks out for us the Fans.
