Speaking as a guy who lives near Philly and graduated from Temple, I give PJ major props for not doing 4 NY and 3 Philly shows. So what if that's where most fans are? It's cool that they're reaching out to the dedicated fans all over the world, no matter how few and far between they may be.
As for prices, here's the deal--- the venues are charging more, hence the band has to charge more. End of story.
See ya in Camden and NYC!

For example, if you have 300 people standing in line at the box office and 12 ticket windows, you can help 12 people at the same time as thousands are buying on the internet. For an extremely high demand event like this one, tickets would be sold out before the 13th customer makes it to the window. That leaves a lot of angry people in line. So it's easier to forgo holding an on sale at the box office all together.
Bottom line, buy online. You have to pay the service fees, but you have a much better shot at getting tickets.
Or maybe just a selfless Pearl Jam fan who has some morals and thinks about his fellow PJ fans around the country and world. The South deserves their shows and the fact the North East shows are selling out their TC allocation so quickly is helped by the hype of the shows and everyone travelling the world to go to them. Lets not forget fact they're accessible to many more people population wise too.
