Camping in Wisconsin/Illinois?

Anyone recommend any good camping sites in Wisconsin or Illinois?
I've never been camping. Some friends want to plan this.. looking for something within half a day drive from Chicago.. Something with nice scenery and fishing. Not too family oriented. Something that feels like being out in the wilderness, but has a place to shower and poop.. And most importantly is alcohol friendly.
Was considering Starved Rock in illinois, but the site says "no alcohol".. :?

Rend Lake and Crab Orchard Lake always have tons of people fishing and partying when I cross over them.
My friends and I party at Forbes State Park from time to time. Small, but nice and in the middle of nowhere.
Shelbyville and Carlyle lakes seem to be a pretty big draw as well, from what I gather.
Wyalusing- great fishing on the Mississippi
Devils Lake
Perrot- more great fishing on the Mississippi but longer drive
wonderful memories one and all!
Wisconsin Rules!
This was her idea.
Thanks for the ideas though, everyone!
