All,

Just wanted to pass along that I was able to land the Residence Inn Milwaukee Downtown 9/3 & 9/4
for $64 a night through priceline.com (normally $159+)

The address is :
648 North Plankinton Avenue
Milwaukee, WI 53203
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mkeri-residence-inn-milwaukee-downtown/

This appears to be .8 miles from the Shuttle Bus provided by the TenClub (1128 North 6th St. Milwaukee, WI 53203) or about a 15 min walk. This is also very close to the MIL airport (about a 15 min cab ride)

To get this price:

1. Go to priceline.com
2. Go to Hotels
3. Choose name your own price
4. Choose Milwaukee, your desired dates, # of rooms, and click "Bid Now"
5. Choose Option #3 , Milwaukee Downtown- 3 Star and above, name your price
6. Submit your bid!

Hope this helps

***Disclaimer there are no gurantees that pricline will give this price/ assign this exact hotel****

I'm a little late in getting this info out there as I booked this shortly after the announcement.
The hotels may have caught on? it may be worth slightly increasing your bid?
$75-80 would still be a relative bargain?

Weird...I couldn't find that place on Marriott's website. My MIL works for them and gave me a code to use for a friends & family rate. Maybe they weren't offering a FnF rate. I'll be at the Fairfield Inn.

EDIT: Yep, did a search w/o the code and it came up. Anyway, you can get a discount with AAA too!

Anyone else on the board book hotels in Milwaukee?
This may still be worth looking into.

Bump for those that still need to make arrangements.....it would be nice to pack down downtown milwaukee hotels with pj fans. Shuttle passes still avail...

Not sure if any of these hotels will accept 64 a night with the announcement and all, but if you put in for downtown, 3 star hotel you are guranteed a nice hotel in a small radius. (all probably walking distance to the shuttle stop) put a bid in...worth a shot! Worst case they dont accept and theres no penalty to you.
You can save a lot of $$$ booking through priceline...

This shuttle stop is at the Ampco Parking Lot which is located at 532 N. Plankinton Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53203, and between Clybourn St. and Michigan St.

The residence inn is a block away.

Theres a discrepancy. The address for the shuttle on PJ20 is different than the one in the goods section. No one knows which is correct/

Just noticed this....downtown milwaukee hotels all seem to be within a 2 mile radius..so worst case a 20min walk/Cab ride???
