I'll read it, I have a few other rock star books to read first. I still need to read "Life" by Keith Richards and "A Very Irregular Head: The Life of Syd Barrett". Then I'll probably check out Scott's book. I'm not sure how interesting a person Scott is, probably some rehab stories in there, etc.
"See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"
I am a little apprehensive reading 'biographies' since there have been several authors that are outed for creating fictional events for best selling books i.e. 'A Million Little Pieces'.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

It's an autobiography. I"m sure he must've had a ghost writer. But it's his words.
Meh. I'm not all that interested in Scott Weiland, to be honest. Just about everything I care to know about him I can read at Wikipedia. The 'executive summary' there would probably be sufficient for my level of interest. In fact, I've not even read that much...so the 'executive summary' there apparently exceeds my level of interest.
I don't really read that many books about rock musicians though. I read a book about Freddie Mercury once...and a book or two about Springsteen (the Dave Marsh books)...and one about Jeff Buckley...but that's about it. I tend to like the picture/tour books better...or books like Grunge is Dead, that sort of document a period of music, a genre or whatever.
At this point, about the only rock musician I'd be interested in buying a book about would be Layne Staley...and even then, only if it was a well-written, non-trashy book that wasn't overly fictionalized by some writer with an agenda (either to turn him into a saint or turn him into a demon).
Purple is an amazing album!!!!!!!!!!!! I just bought it on vinyl, the purple coloured one and can't wait for it to arrive!!!
