Highway One Tele & Joe Barden Danny Gatton Pickups

PIcked up about four years ago a Fender Highway 1 Tele. It is fender's no frills american made guitar, and in my opinion one of the best deals going ($700). I have thinking about dropping in Joe Barden Dayy Gatton pickups into this bad boy. Anyone have any experience with these pickups and have any thoughts? I have played before and love the sound i've gotten out of them...they are quite expensive though. thanks.
