You all can thank Dimitris for this one...I was the lucky winner of his Riot Act vinyl give-away back in the early days of his good deeds. :D Now I finally have something worthy of paying forward!

Emek came to Denver last week for a book signing and even though I was knee-deep in moving from a 5 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom townhome I had to take advantage of meeting this man and getting one of his books signed. I decided to get 2 books...one for me, and one for you. The winner of this drawing that is. :D I told Emek what my plans were and the way he looked at me was "yeah, sure flipper" but he came through.

All you have to do is post your favorite Emek poster...
The winner will receive the Emek book, (the one with the guitar doodle) with the foil handbill s/n out of 150
I will ship everywhere, shipping costs on me of course. ;)

    Well - my favorite Emek poster is currently QOTSA "Twister"... but if it's a Pearl Jam only contest, then it would have to be Charlotte '96 as I'm a big Dali fan ;).

    I am absolutely baffled by your generosity. That is amazing. If there is a crappy thing about being in Toronto, it's that artist never some up here for galley shows or book signings so although I enjoy collecting posters, I miss out on cool opportunities like this.

    Emek has done some amazing pieces over the years but my all time favorite EMEK piece is this one:

    3D laser cut out of wood...if that's not innovation, I don't know what is.

    He's easily the greatest rock artist of our time. It would be an amazing experience to meet him.

    My original thought was to send it directly to you! But after some thought, I decided to do this instead. I did flirt with the notion of maybe striking a deal with 'Hoff' on a frame for the K.C. that he signed for me or even sell it (lord knows I could use the money to help with my trip to Seattle for Ed solo) but this feels better. :) I was a bit star-struck and failed to even bust out my phone and take a picture or video of him doing the doodles. I asked him a few questions about projects he is working on now for the band and after he told me, he realized he shouldn't have. :o I sworn to keep it secret. ;)

    awesome prize, nice work.

    for me it's this one, i'm so glad i managed to pick one up even though it's just the normal poster and not a screen print, i got it used from some old record store here in brisso, a little beat up and worse for wear, but i think it adds character:
