    I had a girl who tried to make a deal with me that if we were 30 and still single that we would marry.... I never agreed as such, I just made it out like it was a possibility, cause I was trying to get in her pants... :lol:

    I remember she rang me up drunk one night and told me she loved me and I said 'oh why don't we meet out one night you know, book a hotel room, see where it takes us...' Again just one thing on my mind, I didn't really want a relationship with this one, she was too crazy...

    This sounds wrong, I would hate to be someones back-up plan. It sounds like an excuse to fuck around before realizing you’re getting old and need to settle down. If my best friend was a guy and there was a mutual attraction, we’d be more than friends by now.

    I don't like this back-up thing, but it would be my pleasure to marry my best friend if something like this comes naturally. Because I believe that when I get married, my wife will be my best friend for the rest of my life. It should be like this at least. :) And also I think that it would be much more easy to be done (we will have a lot in common and we will know each other for a long time). ;)

    I think so many times, people don't see what's infront of them... their best friend could be the love of their life but just don't realize it until much later. Isn't the key to a healthy marriage compassion, communication, and compromise? Add to that list everything that comes with an amazing friendship and you've got yourself a recipe for a great relationship. Friendships seem to happen more naturally and 'relationships' tend to be more of a struggle with craziness involved. I think it would be great. Once you stip away all the bullshit that is a marriage, you should ultimately be left with a great friend.

    Now, as for the 'back-up plan', that's something reguarding a little pill the morning after...
