I was flipping thru a fashion mag and there was an article that said 'the 90s are back for summer' with 'thinner cotton shirts with plaid prints'.... :?

I dunno, I never stopped wearing flannel, or my docs
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Didn't someone state in another thread that all good music trends start in England? I find that they seem to just take on American music a decade or two later.... sort of like the British invasion blatantly ripping off American Blues. ;) I'm all for Grunge 2.0, all I ask is that they don't use auto-tune or massive over-dubs!! Rock and Roll needs to take over the music landscape again for the masses. I just hope the emo, woe is me doesn't follow!

As far as Grunge style goes it doesn't bother me one way or the other. I wear flannel and my chukka boots for comfort. I am the typical guy that goes for function over style, I'm not going to be embarrassed if my plaid shirts are not as up to date as the Holister brand.

My friend randomly played me this band, I'm seeing them in a few weeks. Their album was okay but I didn't think grunge at all.

Yuck is alright. But not innovative on any level. All been done before.

Just listen to sonic youth instead

to paraphrase robin pecknold, if you just do exactly the same thing and never change, you'll be "cool" like every 20 years. that's always been my philosophy...
