On April 12th when tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster outlets on line and everything.. will I have a better shot at actually going to my local ticket master guy then doing it online? Probably right? They do not use Ticketmaster.com they use their own thing even thought it's the same company.. do you guys think it will be easy to get 3 tix for each night? If I get to the ticket master before they go on sale.. and purchase them right when they are released?

the public onsale will be brutal and there will be very few tixs available either way
if you are first in line, then being at the outlet would probably be better

All TM outlets now use the "lottery" method of forming the line...you can sit outside all night and be the last one in the line.

If it were me, I'd probably use the internet while at the same time working the phones. In any other venue, I'd say wait until a day or two before the show and just buy tickets that will pop up on TM, but MSG is one of about two major venues that rarely see extended ticket releases (MGM Grand Garden being the other).

Why not send a buddy to the TM outlet and you can work the phones/internet. For a major concert in the worlds most famous arena, I'd be shocked if the "secret TM" outlet isn't known by many unless you are located very far from NYC.

    Best of luck!

It's inside of a Macy's gift wrapping department.

again...keep in mind this is Pearl Jam at MSG....not quite a secret event.....one can easily use the internet and find all of the TM outlets. We have a TM in our mall too at one of the department stores in the gift wrap section....when I tried to buy Stones tickets in 2005 there.....the line was about 100 deep. (and I am about 40 miles outside of Chicago)

I've been once (mentioned above) and do not plan on every going to one again. It is too easy to get great seats to any show (aside from PJ, who does a great job of treating its fans right) as long as you know a few tricks.

I only going there because the lady told me, even for the Stones their was not many people AT ALL. She said the mall will open before the Macy's and I can wait outside the doors of it, and at 10 AM go right up to the desk and purchase my tickets.

    CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

My friend went to a Macy's with a TM outlet for the 7-11-03 show and got front row seats.

I'd say give it a shot.

I'll probably stick with the internet, because I'd hate to risk seeing a crowd at the TM outlet. But, if you think you'll be the only one there, go for it.
