Roger's Wall at the O2 in London. David played Comfortably Numb and Nick and David joined Roger for the last tune (David on Mandolin, Nick on Tambourine). Remarkable.

Wow, that's amazing. That literally almost just brought a tear to my eye, I couldn't image seeing that live in person.

I had the privilege of seeing that concert back in October and as awesome as Comfortably Numb was I just kept thinking it's just not right without Gilmour.

Let the rumors of Floyd getting back together start all over again.

    Oh here is the thread!!

I just saw the vids, I only found out. I would have been so pissed off for missing this night and going to another.

Is it really worth the £66 a ticket? I'm deciding going to Birmingham.

That end bit where all the visuals appear on the wall did it for me. Think I'm gonna have to try and get to to see it on the return to the UK as well.

Could someone please explain to me why Pink Floyd will not reunite? I mean, I get Gilmore is like pissed at Roger. But obviously they just had a 3/4 reunion at a show; and they played live aid in 2005 (I'm guessing that was a HUGE money making deal for the band, to do that). I've seen Waters twice, great show! But, seriously, what is the deal? They can obviously stand each other, maybe in small doses, but still.

Pete and Roger of the who aren't that cool with each other, but still managed to make it work.

What is Gilmor's deal? Sorry, just curious. I mean do they realize how much money (in pocket/ donated to charity this would bring in)?

    Thanks all help is appreciated.

I think Gilmour just doesn't want to do it, kinda like how Robert Plant doesn't want to reunite Zeppelin, preferring to move forward in a way. I respect that, I'd rather not see a band reuniting/touring just for the money (The Eagles and The Police come to mind).

Roger was a real cunt from about 78 til their reunion in 2006. Since the Live8 show he's wanted a reunion.

I hope they don't try a reunion without Rick, and what would be the point....They've had reunions in the past with most of the members.

Gilmour's 06 tour woulda been the perfect setup for it. A balls out light show, but still very intimate. It was the ultimate Pink Floyd experience for me and I'm not sure they could top it.

    I was there too.

Pink Floyd, along with R.E.M., were the first band I ever "got into" when I was a teen. I've been lucky enough to see David Gilmour with Richard Wright before, and Roger Waters with Nick Mason.

But when Gilmour appeared on top of the Wall on Thursday night, it was just... heartstopping.

I can't get over how lucky I was to have seen that, and then Mason joined on stage too. There were so many other shows on the tour, what were the odds it would be the one I went to.

I'm honestly having a tough time getting off the high that Thursday night gave me - hearing all those people singing "Comfortably Numb", hearing the cheers, watching people jump around and high-five-ing and hugging each other. It was the single most incredible night of my life and I'll never forget it. Nothing will ever compare!!! :D

I just heard about this today and was stunned with excitement.

I saw Pink Floyd 4 times post Waters and have seen both Waters and Gilmore once solo but to see them all together I can hardly imagine. :D

In the fall of 1972 I attended my freshman college orientation and the University traditionally ended it Friday night with a concert at the hockey arena. The band was Pink Floyd. I remember being into their latest album "Meddle". Even then, they had a quad speaker set up, and I heard "Money" for the first time with cash registers all around me. This was before the release of Dark Side. I never missed a show again when they came through, but that first one was pretty special. It's a shame they can't reunite.

Talking Heads is another one I pine for.

That's great to hear. I've always wanted to see Pink Floyd. The closest I've gotten is going to the Pink Floyd Laser Show at the Hayden Planetarium in NYC.

How lucky of you to have been in the audience! I got chills watching the Comfortably Numb video, what a moment!

Someday I really hope to see Gilmour or Waters in concert with my dad. He taught me all I know about good music and has seen many amazing shows and has even met some incredible musicians. But he's never seen Pink Floyd-who is one of his all-time favorite bands- or any of its members live! Definitely would be an awesome experience.

Wow! Can't believe David joined in. I'm going to see the show Monday in Dublin but that looks like the one to have been at! I'm still excited to see it though, can't wait really.

In a May 2008 interview for BBC 6Music, David Gilmour hinted that he would be in favour of another one-off show, but ruled out a full tour.[260] Speaking to Associated Press to promote the release of his new live album, David Gilmour stated that a reunion would not happen. Gilmour said: "The rehearsals were less enjoyable. The rehearsals convinced me it wasn't something I wanted to be doing a lot of ... There have been all sorts of farewell moments in people's lives and careers which they have then rescinded, but I think I can fairly categorically say that there won't be a tour or an album again that I take part in. It isn't to do with animosity or anything like that. It's just that I've done that. I've been there, I've done it.

lets face it pink floyd isn't pink floyd without richard wright. would i go see the 3 remaining band members, of course i would.
