now and then i remember when
    us adults were little kids
    and our only worry was
what we get from santa claus

    when santa claus was god
    when santa claus was god
when santa was... santa claus was..
    when santa claus was god

now we're grown and so complex
in a world that can't relax
even though he was a lie
    we all were satisfied when

    santa claus was god
    when santa claus was god
    when santa was..
    when santa claus was..
    when santa claus was god

how i learned from right and wrong
had to be good for santa claus
    he made me, stop misbehaving

and once a year if i did my job
i'd be given my favorite toys
????????? 1:52-1:58 ????????? (from santa? life was simple?)

    when santa was...
    when santa claus was..
    santa claus was god

I absolutely love it. Makes me smile and laugh and it's all so true. :)

  • the line "santa claus was god" actually made me think.

in austria - where i come from - most children still believe that the so-called "Christkind" brings the presents on the evening of 24th dec.
of course, american influence doesn't stop at our borders, so santa is getting more and more fans. but what i wanted to say, is that the "Christkind" is actually either jesus ("the child christ") or an angel-like figure that brings presents to the new born jesus. so in our christian tradition our "santa", the "Christkind" is actually god...

  • Incredibly corny. I deleted it from my iTunes out of shame and fear that someone would encounter it on shuffle. I personally enjoyed it but it's not a song I would brag to my friends about.

It's awesome that you care so much about what others think about your musical tastes. Rock on, individuals!! ;)

I'm hearing quite a bit of distortion in Santa God. Is that meant to be there, or is it a result of the transfer from vinyl to mp3?

So you enjoyed it, but deleted it from your iTunes in case someone else wouldn't?

  • catchy.. good tune
    I went to the concert
And I fought through the crowd
Guess I got a little too excited

  • Good to see they are still churning out rockers, I was concerned after Avocado they would go a bit soft and gooey, but this bodes well for a new album.

I think it's the result of the rip only. I'm sure as other members start receiving their copies of the single that we'll have addition rips available that are of better quality and in a lossless format.

  • Thank You everyone for posting about the holiday single. I have not received mine yet and the anticipation is now growing to an obscene amount. This may be my favorite gift this Christmas and in a way I am getting it for myself by being a 10c member. Hmm, this will also be my first of many PJ vinyls.

It's not very heavy though, is it? It's good, but still not that heavy.

Not saying its heavy, just that it is a rocker as opposed to a ballad.
