3rd song in my series of Pearl Jam songs. Come back.
to finish the lyric:
And every night when Im waiting for
The real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
Sometimes you're there and you're talking back to me
Come the morning I can swear that you're next to me
And its okayyyyyy
Quite possibly the bluesiest song form them. It has a 1960's blues sound to it.

It makes me want to cry. Always.
When ed gets into the "I'll be heeeeeere" part, with Mike wailing behind him, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time.
I'm dreading the day when I can relate to it so closely that I don't want to listen to it anymore. Ed has captured a very, very real emotion there in these lyrics. Among the best he's ever written.
Although my vote for "bluesiest" Pearl Jam song will always go to Ledbetter .... which sounds as if it were actually a Stevie Ray cover.
for the least they could possibly do
eV: 8/4/08, 8/5/08, 6/21/11
SG: 10/4/08<-- MET STONE!!!
there must be an open door ... for you ... to come back
That part gets me every time.

bro wherever you are, you know the door is always open to the house. i miss my madden buddy :(
And the days, they linger on
And every night, what I'm waiting for
Is the real possibility I may meet you in my dream
And sometimes you're there
And you're talking back to me
Come the morning I could swear you're next to me
love you bro
On the dry and dusty road
The nights we spent apart alone
I need to get back home
To cool cool rain
LONG LIVE THE WHO! BE DEAD OR ALIVE
i'll ride the wave where it take me, i'll hold the pain release meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I wouldn't have lost you another way
Chokes me up like mad. So sad, so insecure, so needy. Good tune.
