I will help, anyway I can help I will, this is the best thread ever, even though I could use assistance myself, I have been clean and sober for 9 years, unfortunately as someone who got addicted to meth, my teeth have paid the price, ironically, it was going to a Pearl Jam concert in 2006 that changed my life, even though I had seen them 11 times between 1993 and 1998 and they were my favorite band, I got sidetracked in life, got into the wrong relationship, but I am not going to bore anyone with the details of that, anyway I need to get all my teeth pulled and a set of dentures, pieces of my teeth break off almost weely at this point if anyone knows a dentist that could provide dental services at a discounted rate, the lowest quote I have gotten is $4000 which is out of my price range and I have no insurance, because I shot up the meth the impact on my teeth wasn't immediate and it is only years later as the chemicals work their way out of my body and yes the teeth are the easiest escape route for the chemicals to exit so essentially for the last decade my teeth have been rotting from the inside out and the chemicals in many toothpastes and mouthwash can cause negative chemical reactions with the ingredients for the meth, so the total damage is just now being realized. I realize it was my fault for getting into drugs, but I have been clean (I do smoke an joint every now and then, but no hard drugs) but being clean and never being able to smile because you know the reaction it will get is only a partial victory. It is hard to come forth and admit all this, but if my story helps anyone out, even a little bit, then it is worth telling it, anyway, let me know anyway I can help, and if anyone knows any dentists that could help, I can get the time off of work and I would drive there, thanks for taking time to read this, thanks0

well......are they? :?
We are always helping members but not always as the collective group that started BATW up. We ran into issues of trying to become "legal" in the sense of taking donations but the cost was way to much. Some of us got busy with work and I came down with health issues of my own.
I know Kelly is and has always helped when ever she could. She is a great girl. Jo has done the same from what I have seen and she is always looking to help people anyway she could.
Maybe we will have a encore in the near future
Yes we are still "Alive" riding like Bugs Amongst The Waves in this world we call lifeI have been a little busy with Purple Day for epilepsy recently. Looking at raising some awareness through a giveaway in the next few days as well as a kids giveaway too with some cute Purple Day merch.
Big Hank, may I just say that your inspirational, it's not every day that you hear about people who kicked habits like yours for good. You should be incredibly proud of yourself.“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." Good job brother. Wish my brother in law could kick his pill, meth, coke, crack and booze habit. He died twice and yet that wasn't enough motivation to get sober.
Stay strong man. If I were I would look into possible programs that help with dental bills and what not.My butt itches!0 -
