Is the radiohead album worth it? I only heard it once but am thinking maybe I need to hear it again. I liked rainbows and all their previous stuff but just felt it was a bit slow on my first listen.

I really like The King of Limbs. Morning Mr. Magpie, Little By Little, Lotus Flower, Codex and Seperator are great.
The new songs The Butcher and Supercollider are great as well. Codex is just beautiful.

not that I condone illegal downloading but I see mp3 downloads as a little pointless...I'd rather download the album free and buy the cd/vinyl if I like it and if I dont just delete it..... I hope we never lose the tangible item though!

I agree, it feels empty unless you go to the store, pick up the album and buy it.
    Makes it exciting :D

Yeah, usually will only buy an MP3 album if I can't find it elsewhere on the Internet.

Try to buy the physical product when I can.

Honestly, mp3 albums should ALWAYS be $5.

I agree. If it's going to be the same price as a CD why not just get the CD?

I like the cd as well. But this for the people who don't listen to cds.

if the pricing is right, downloads are the way to go, especially if you have different quality options. the trouble is they rarely get the pricing right.

physical media has, at most, 5 years left, including blu ray discs. more content will be streaming and download only before you know it.

and if you delete music you don't like that you illegally downloaded, its still stealing. it's like stealing a shirt and then saying you didn't like the way it fits so its good you stole it. i love how people justify their illegal behavior sometimes.

In essence I do understand where you are coming from and yes it is stealing. However I feel if you are getting continued use out of it without actually paying for the artists work, I feel it is a lot more immoral.... i don't see any harm in trying before you buy....you wouldn't buy a car without looking under the hood and taking it for a test drive first, and before anyone mentions that's why bands release singles...a single is only part of the entire package. I wouldn't listen or own most of the music by bands if I hadn't downloaded an album first...sometimes some of the best songs are deep cuts and if the single sucks you'd never know about the rest of the album. But in any case different strokes for different folks...we all have our different ways of doing things....In my opinion if I like it, I'll buy it. At least that way I know I'm supporting the artist.

i go to a website named mp3va.com they have dvd audio rips, bootleg shows, and new releases. they always get a new album before it's released. they only charge about 1-1.50. if i lke the music & a cd is avaliable, i'll go buy the original. i try to hold off on new albums, but sometimes my curiosity get the better of me. that site does have some great stuff, though. i got the ten boxset unplugged dvd rip. i know it's not the entire show, but it sounds REALLY good, compared to all of the other versions out there. their zeppelin selection is excellent as well. mp3panda is another cool site. i mostly go to these places for shows. i loooove my artwork..

Not a great analogy when you're talking about a $10 album vs. a $20,000 car. If a band wants to give you the chance to hear the whole album before deciding to purchase it, they have plenty of avenues for that. I think it's unfair for somebody to take it upon themselves to just jack it on their terms.
