If you do not have Tool - Lateralus 2xLP i would get on it . were ever you can find it . ;)

Tool Lateralus is still on hold and this is due to the band not giving an approval for a repress just yet. Sony does not know when they will get that title back.

I just picked mine up here . you never know if there going to give approval .

I really like that album, should take my arse down to the record store and grab it if they got it. Hmmm, might grab some more too! ;) :P

What's that ya say?......I can't hear over the hiss comin from my Lateralus vinyl

Have you heard the original press of Aenima? It's one of those records that makes you sit up and take notice of the vast difference between digital and analog. I've heard some pretty good reviews of those bootlegs, but I seriously doubt anything compares to the original.

Lateralus is definitely cooler to look at, but it's one of the noisiest records in my collection. It does sound great above the hiss.

Is the Lateralus double LP the picture disc one? It is right? I saw it at Easy Streets W Seattle store, but that was like last month. Only 35 bucks too.

Damn, I'm afraid I'm going to end up missing out on this one. I've only been collecting vinyl for a few weeks now and I've already blew way too much money. I grabbed Opiate and Undertow already, I should have moved this and Aenima to the top of the list. I think the 2 Tool albums I don't have are considered my holy grains at this point.

YES! I consider this vinyl to be virtually unlistenable. At first I thought my copy was bad but in doing an Internet search it seems like that is just the way it is.

The only Tool I have on vinyl is Opiate. I dig the beginning of side 2, where it's double-grooved. Depending on where you set the needle, you either hear "I had a friend once, he took some acid..." or "Throw that Bob Marley-wannabe motherfucker outta here!"

One of my college roommates had the original press of Aenima. He'd only break it out to listen to every once in a rare while, but every time he did, it was like a holiday. We'd all gather 'round and listen to it. So much better on vinyl.
