DP-200USB turntable question

Hi. I just bought a new Denon DP 200USB turntable. i hooked it up to my guitar amplifier but the turntable itself does not have a volume adjuster on it and the volume adjuster on the amp does not affect the turntable's sound, only the guitar volume. i don't really know what else to plug it in to so i can control the volume..
There is probably an easy solution i can't figure out but if u can help me i'd appreciate it. Thanks!

    ummm?..you have a stereo receiver?..You could probably go through a pre-amp also.

    I bet it sounds terrible coming threw a guitar amp . just a guess .

    it actually sounds pretty good except for the low volume.
    Thanks, I'll get a receiver and try it.

    Just make sure the receiver has a phono input.
