My husband's grandmother always bet on a horse if it had cat in the name somewhere. A few years ago my husband placed a $2 bet on Bluegrass Cat, in respect to his grandmother, with another horse in the exacta. It turned out really well. The other horse was Barbaro. We bought a piano. But I worry the whole time they are running that one of them is going to break a leg.

I love watching the races but not at the cost of the animals being mistreated after their racing days are over. I really hope our country does something about it. I'm glad it's being brought to the public's attention.
