Lemme get this straight...we're supposed to overlook the fact that the U.S. traded 34 billion dollars, murdered hundreds of thousands of people, got into a bunch of shit we shouldn't of gotten into, blew up our economy, took money from education, public parks, and other things that benefit our public, and destroyed freedom in the name of the Patriot Act for Osama Bin Laden being dead. If this country were a sports team its General Manager would have been fired immediately no?
I get the symbolism of him being dead, but are we really that stupid to go celebrate in the streets, chant some "USA, USA", and think that this last decade has been worth it? I have a friend who ate at the World Trade Center for lunch everyday, a former classmate who's family friend died in the attack, a brother-in-law who sifted through the rubble, and three family members serving in Afghanistan and Iraq as we speak. What about this makes their situations any better? I hope those high fives and chants helped you all feel a little better about how fucked we got in this whole deal, because if I'm not mistaken we are STILL fucked.

Edit:
Also, all of your complaints above would be null and void if our boy didn't finance and organize the 9/11 attacks.
Godfather.
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
and you sound like your saying it's our falt ? :?
Godfather.
No, i would of put together a small team of specialist and dedicate them to this task, not start two wars and flame anti-american sentiments across the middle east.
hmmmm, let's do this. Killing Usama was good, that is over now. deal?
so let's start fresh.
Starting right this second, what is the US doing? Oh yes, still killing people, occupying lands and supporting corrupt governments around the world. Also they have many innocent people locked up in Gitmo and still have torture bases open around the world. All this is what the US is doing right now, this second.
When America stops all of that, not just part of it. When America stops it's hypocrisy, that will be a good day.
Anything less than that means nothing.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
we wait, and hopefully the coming shitstorm is not as bad as it could be. because there will be vengeance attacks....
i think we have gotten more vigilent and i think people know what sort of things to be aware of after all of these years. i do not think that an attack on the homeland is going to be as easy as attacking our interests overseas. if i were at a us embassy i would be a little more concerned.

Clinton Vows Wars Will Continue
State Dept Issues Travel Advisory Amid Predictions of More Attacks
With the announcement of Osama bin Laden’s death spawning major celebrations in several locations in the United States, one might be forgiven for briefly thinking the death of the al-Qaeda leader might actually change America’s foreign policy.
Bin Laden was, after all, not just the leader of one faction, but the US government’s chosen figurehead for all terrorism everywhere. 10 years of the hunt meant trillion of dollars in war spending, thousands of soldiers and upwards of a million civilian deaths, but last night the message was ‘all’s well that ends well.’
This morning, however, it isn’t even that, with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reassuring the world that America’s assorted wars would continue in the wake of bin Laden’s death. Indeed, the killing is being presented less as a game-changer than as a vindication for the overall policy of endless war worldwide.
“You cannot defeat us,” Clinton insisted, while adding that the death of bin Laden some ten years after 9/11 proved that the US would “never abandon its pursuit of justice.” Incredibly, it seems bin Laden’s death has emboldened the hawkish Clinton, who also said the US would “boost” its counterterrorism efforts after the news.

I agree with you 100% if that helps. This isn't a game. Smack a hornets nest with a broom. Good job. Glad he's dead? Sure. Likely to solve or rectify ANYTHING? Nope. The high fives and chants? How embarrassing... like a bunch of Bills fans after winning a game when they were 1-11 heading into it.
