Anyone go? What did you think?

I just got home....thought it was pretty good, wish he would have done some story telling like Eddie does. He's been around making music for so long, he has to have some great stories behind some of the amazing songs he's written.

Started with acoustic "My, My, Hey, Hey" and "Tell Me Why" - which were awesome.

Had a policy that if you left your seats, you couldn't walk back into the theater until the song was over (like at a sporting event). Seemed a little ridiculous, but actually was nice without everyone walking around...

Pretty sure that's a venue policy, rather than Neil himself. I saw Cheech & Chong there a few years back and the rules were exactly the same.

Neil solo is a great thing. I saw him on the Greendale tour, acoustic, lots of storytelling between songs, which I'm not sure was done on the electric leg of the tour with CH?

No, it said it was at the artist's request. If you weren't seated by 9:15, you could not be seated until after the first 2 songs.

Of course, everyone was complaining.... I liked it...

Would have rather the whole thing been acoustic, but it was all good...

What is the format of his current show, half acoustic-half band as a few years ago over here?

He switched it up... some acoustic, some electric, some piano, some pipe organ...

He rivaled Phish in terms of ignoring the audience, though... complete opposite of Vedder solo...

I was at the show. I went on Other Music to talk about it.

Anyways, it was amazing how one musician could captivate an audience like that. That's how you realize just how talented a musician he is.

After the show waiting for the trolley, some guy said on the platform "I wish he didn't play all that political stuff." It's Neil Young. If you don't want political songs go see Kiss.

this Neil acoustic tour is amazing. I saw it last summer. Acoustic gigs like this are really cool, because it's just on another level. Neil had that policy for our show as well. It was a great experience, with people totally mesmerized. There was a yell out for "needle" but someone else was like, "play what you want Neil." Le Noise is a great record and really like how these songs translated acoustically. May be biased cause the album came out after the show, but it was an amazing expierience.

its my fault 100%. For some reason I got my months mixed up. The show was on my mind and all, but I thought it was the end of May. In fact, I was talking to someone Thursday night about accompanying me.... with no clue the show was in 2 days.

I saw this thread Monday morning and my stomach dropped.

    Oh, my stupid.

We came close to doing that with a Franz Ferdinand show. I put them in my iPhone calendar with reminders now to keep that from happening. Sorry man.

a little late to this party, but the show was awesome. (i went sunday).

i've seen neil young 5 times now, and this was the second time solo. i might have liked this one the best. saw a lot of PJ shirts around. and a lot of really old dudes. the guy next to me was 72, older than neil. he's seen some things in his day. he says he's a 10C member, so if you read this, hey.
