(it's on the news)
people are amazed
and it's happened, now
a night, "historic", the news says.
in our own lives, there are nights like this.
nights we didn't know were coming for they took so long!
nights we think: "I guess miracles are possible?"
(surprised face)
and we hold our chins and feel our eyebrows move.
scratch, scratch, look at the ceiling, look across, hold eyes.
hmmm...
shocking?
maybe
"Go down as history" they say
and then we say, "So what could be next?"
What's Next?!
Do we wake up and dream for the next step?
dramatic?
Free-dom, free-dom, free-dom!
do anything without the dark cloud?
call it Hope Restored.

And maybe that's the gift on a night like this?!
it took a death, generally not a good thing,
but if it helps a good man get re-elected, maybe the death is worthwhile?
