My cousin just bought a 40k brand new Ford Explorer.

11 miles to the gallon.

Gas prices are close to $5 a gallon in Chicago. As of today, the cheapest I can find it in the 'burbs is $4.45

She has no family, doesn't make much money and just her 100 lb body to drive around.

Am I related to this? Really???

And here I am trying to figure out how to make my Civic lighter, more fuel efficient than it already is.. :?

    not everyone has common sense.

btw, filled up for 4.21 today at the local sam's club.

also saw 4.49 on the way home from the store.
81 is now off the air

If you can, try to fill up in the middle of the week, Wednesdays.. They usually hike it for the weekend.

this is an interesting comparison, but yeah obviously we use more fuel then the other things but...

also we in Australia pay around $1.50 a liter or higher which equals about $6 a gallon.

Sorry to hear that dude. I know how frustrating it can be. Some of my relatives have concrete for brains too.

That's absurd in these times on this topic.
