Books about Pearl Jam

I was looking for a book on amazon earlier on and stumbled on a series of books about PJ which attracted my attention. They all look to have the same cover and nothing is specified about their content.
This is the one about Pearl Jam Concert Tours: Ten Tour, Pearl Jam 2006 World Tour, Backspacer Tour, Riot ACT Tour, Yield Tour, Binaural Tour, vs. Tour and apparently there's another one with most of their album titles, plus another couple of them which include PJ in the title.

Has anybody ever tried to buy or own any of them?
I'd like to know some more, please.

thanks a lot from now

    nope, Ive never seen these.

I also hadn't noticed a pre-order available for Pearl Jam twenty, a book to be released in September:
http://www.amazon.com/Pearl-Jam-Twenty/dp/1439169217/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1304188292&sr=8-1 anyone have any info on this?

Looks like list price is going to be $35 in the US, and the preorder is listing for $21. I may need to do this.
    Makes much more sense...

"Five Against One: The Pearl Jam Story" by Kim Neely is pretty good. It's mostly about the bands that became PJ and Eddie's crazy ass life regarding his parents. It only goes up to "Yield," I think. But it's a good read. '

I own None Too Fragile, but I didn't purchase it from Amazon. I bought from a Public store in Athens. Very good book and it goes up to Backspacer.

Thanks to you all for your replies; I already knew about the others you mentioned: I read Five Against One long ago and I've recently ordered None Too Fragile out of curiosity.

as for the new book, two threads were already opened about it not long ago, so you may find some more info there ;)

is it? i've heard some negative reviews of it, saying that it seemed like the writer had an agenda against the band, specifically Eddie
i've never read it but I may just do so, if it's good that is

I heard the same thing regarding none to fragile.

5 against 1 is a good book. Like some one else said, goes into the history (pre pearl jam), discusses family life, and goes up to the yield era. If you are a die hard fan (I'm sure you are), I recommend it. I also reccomend it to people, who like reading band biographies. Me: personally, I love band biographies and documentaries.

yeah, all the early seattle music history is good, but then it does go on a bit too much about Ed's childhood and seems to only talk to people who have something against Ed. it has been years since i read it but i remember thinking it just seemed like the writer wanted to talk to Ed and the band but couldn't get them to talk to them so just decided, "well fuck you, i'll talk to the guy that knew you 20 years ago and thought you were an arsehole"
    condescending and sarcastic since 1980

None Too Fragile also includes data related to Ed's early life (gas station etc).

I prefer Five Against One over None Too Fragile but NTF is more uptodate in terms that it covers the Riot Act tour. 5-A-1 goes upto pre-release of Yield.

I also have PJ vs Ames, Place/Date and 5x1 by Lance Mercer.

Same here. I'm just reading All Ancompassing Trip by Jason Leung at the mo - even though its not actually about the band its still a cool read and PJ related.

I hav a danish book: "I Pearl Jams fodspor" (in the footsteps of PJ)
Mainly it is about the time after Roskilde 2000 and the meetings with the families of the 9 friends! Touching stuff.
However the book contains a bit about the band, their history etc.

All in All a great read.

By the way - Henrik Tuxen is the author of the book

I don't seem to find anything in fact. Thanks for your reply, though.

just started reading None Too Fragile - ordered it over 5 vs 1 because it was cheaper

some HUGE editing/publishing errors - like captions. quotes etc.etc. they really threw me off course because i am enjoying it quite a lot.
only up to chapter 8 or 9, some cool stuff.

edit: i'll post a better review for anyone interested once i've finished. also the version i have is the 5th edition - says it's been updated as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations. don't know how much has been added yet though
