I think I'm taking my mom to the ed show

my show partner can only go saturday night so I thought I'd offer my parents one of my tickets for friday, and surprisingly my mom wanted to go more than my dad.

I'm just worried because my mom doesn't get out much- she won't drive into the city or take the T alone, so I can't figure out how to actually get her to the show...did I get myself into a pickle here??

Nope...could be a great show for the both of you and a very exciting trip for your mom. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Can you go pick her up and drive in together, or go to her house and ride in together? Once she gets out she'll have a great time I bet.

I took my mom to the two shows in Vancouver in April. She loved it and we had a great time! You and your mom will have a great time however you get her there.

that is good to hear! I want whoever has this ticket to appreciate it! my mom just really likes eddie's voice so I think she'll like the opera house and all.

yeah this is the problem, it's friday night, so I'll be at work a short t ride to the opera house, and she's north of the city on a prime rush hour route...right now I'm thinking she'll drive to my house, so if I can get her to ride the T 2 stops to my office...

cool. that's the thing, I don't think my parents would be comfortable at a PJ show, but the ed shows will be nice and relaxed and comfortable so I think they'll like it.

Just plan it all out well, and make sure it's as easy as possible for her. If it's easy, it'll just end up being part of the overall adventure and experience for her.

Why not take 1 half day off work and have her come outside of the rush hour? Make a day of it.

love to, unfortunately I just planned a trip for september that's cutting it close on my available vacation time. Plus mom works until about 4 anyway.
