New Gibson Limited Edition Guitars for 2011

some are on the lower end of the spectrum that i am not really feeling, but i am kind of digging a few of them. most notably the dethklok explorer, the lou pallo les paul, even the gothic les paul with the active pickups. the anniversary flood les paul has some pretty cool looking finishes, but imo the blue looks pretty sweet. i think i am most interested in the BFG concept with the p-90 in the neck and the burstbucker in the bridge. i can imagine how that would sound. anybody seen or played any of these?

    Out of all those, I like the blue the best, never been a silverburst or explorer fan!
    Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

    the blue is sweet. no binding though so it doesn't look as great as it could have.

    i have always wanted an explorer because of hetfield, but when it came time to get one i always ended up getting something else instead like an amp head or some other guitar i could not pass up. i would get thunderhorse because i am a huge fan of metalocalypse, but i am not sure how that thing would sound because Skwigsgar'e explorer has emgs in it. i am not sure why they didn't put emgs in this one...also i am not sure i could pull off that explorer live at gigs given the way i look and the style of music that i play. and i guess it is not worth it to drop that kind of dough and just sit on it and not gig it. every one of my guitars is dinged up in some way and i am not sure thunderhorse would look as good beat up.

    i have everything i want but a nice hollowbody and something with the funky body shapes like an explorer. i have that pink vee but i never ever play it... :lol:

    i bought one of the tribute LPs. was slightly tempted to buy the SG too.

    When are these rumoured to come out? If this is true, I need one!

    And not to hijack... My best friend had a guitar her dad gave to her that she doesn't play anymore... (he somehow got it from a friend, don't know how) and she wanted me to take a look at it... Turns out its a worn yellow Les Paul Jr. Can't wait to plug it in!
