So who's watching.

I tried to get my daughters interested in watching a normal girl becoming a princess, no joy.
so i won't be watching.

But good luck to them.

    That's because she's already a princess!!!

Like all girlies, I want to see the dress.

I guess people would say all this pomp, etc. has no place in our democracies, but hey... they've got the money to put on a do like this, it will bring in some money, generate taxes for the government (more than what we have to pay out for extra security) and they seem to be a happy couple.. So let's go for it! (Though it is a bit tiresome that 3/4 of the news is about this....)

Nobody should be watching this! Who cares about a duo of snobbish royals who still believe that God ordained them superior than everyone else. It must be so tough being rich, living off the wealth given freely by a people they do nothing for you. At least my tax dollars go for something; even if it's shady and questionable. These people just get money. Then, retailers pimp them out on toilet paper and Pez dispensers, hoping the masses believe they truly are better than everyone else. It must be so exhausting being a royal. I throw up in my mouth everytime I have to hear about them. People are losing jobs, homes and retirment. We are pouring out cash for wars and conflicts in the Middle East; and yet we worry about birth certrifcates, Planned Parenthood and what kind of food wil be at the Royal Wedding Dinner. Nonsense! All of this is like paying a stripper for a lap dance and a happy ending you don't receive, and buying a t-shirt about your lap dance from a perfect stranger and discovering you stil got The Clap anyway.

The Royal family brings in a lot more money through tourisim then what we the tax payer give them.

I'm not into the Royals at all but I guess some people are and there is a big interest in them from overseas as well for some reason.

As for snobbish? I dunno. I don't pay attention really but I never have seen much from William to suggest any snobbery.

This is a snob: Expect things from others that you're unwilling to give in return. In other words, act privileged. Snobby people expect other people to open doors for them, take care of their luggage, park their cars and walk their dogs without ever thinking that they could do that for others as well. In other words, create out-of-balance relationships, making sure you're the one in control. They exclude people from your conversations and social events. Intentionally select the people you allow to be around you at all times. Ask those you clearly wouldn't socialize with if they'd like to work for you. They refuse to look people in the eyes who don't meet your expectations or who are clearly inferior to you in some way. Dismiss people with your words or actions in order to put them in their place; give only as much as you've been given; when in doubt, give less. Require that you always receive your share and let others know you mean business; walk with confidence and always enter a room in a way that commands attention and respect. Look your best at all times even if you're in sweats. Assure yourself mentally that you look better than anyone else at all times and places.

I bet one of them owns a Hummer too.

I'm just curious, but how many of these do you think are also done by the man in your avatar?

I'm sorry but i'm not quite sure where you are getting all this from. Maybe you are just generalising rather than William and Kate (or is it Katie) themselves. I think the same will go for most celebrities and elected leaders to be honest.

'They refuse to look people in the eyes who don't meet your expectations'

Where have you got this from? Point me to a specific occassion.

You paint with a very broad brush? I freaking hated the last princess. All that shit she shoved down our throats about eliminating land mines and bring worldwide attention to AIDS in Africa. Like she's so high and fucking mighty. Don't you remember that video of her eating an entire chicken right in front of that starving little boy? What...a...bitch.

Much like Jersey Shore, Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol, I have found it impossible to avoid coverage of the wedding and I know much about, whether I like it or not.

It only happens every other decade or so ... I guess I can tolerate it for a few more days (I have no choice ;) ).

For the UK? Bring in the tourists.

For the US? Why should they be doing anything for the US?

Well, (i can't believe I know this :( ), but the brothers serve in the military. They've done tours in Afghanistan and Charlie serves on a helicopter rescue team. They also keep thousands of paparazzi and tabloid reporters with full-time jobs.

I love the whole thing and have been following on the celeb shows.

Always that sadness though too with the memory of lovely Princess Di....
