Saw them open for PJ twice in 08. I wasn't impressed at all.

I saw their last club show in Columbus Ohio. It was right before they played MSG. Show was really good. I saw them twice in big venues after that and was less than impressed.
They have really unimaginative setlists that are nearly identical from night to night, and just stand on stage idle most of the show.
They won't get my money again for a ticket.

I can't imagine how anyone who likes pearl jam can think the kings of Leon are good live. Quite possibly the most boring show ever.
they were good in 07 when i saw them. the show at Lupos in RI was one of the best. spot on. Nathan (the drummer) is a fackin beast. seeing them as an opener...well, your bound to get a generic, hits-only set list.
that being said, they're not very animated on stage. i figure this is the last time i'll see them. and taking advantage of the free fanclub, skipping TM charges...its all good. Saturday summer concert 20 mins away from home...yep, im there.

I agree - I saw them in 07 as well - they put on a killer show.
I heard them open for PJ in 08 in WPB and Columbia - wasn't in my seats yet for either show - and I thought they sounded great too

I just bought lawn tickets to see Kings of Leon and Band of Horses in Hartford. Honestly, I'm more excited to see Band of Horses, but I don't mind Kings of Leon at all. There were actually pit tickets available yesterday, but lawn tickets were only $25 this weekend (including service charges), so I just went with the cheap seats.

That's how I feel. Can't wait to see BoH again. I'll probably go with lawn seats as well for WPB

Are they really lawn seats? Im just curious b/c I went in to TM on Friday to check prices for a friend, and the seating chart said "All Reserved" and where it usually says "Lawn" on the seating chart, it had section and row numbers. Just curious if it actually said "lawn" when u purchased them, or if they got rid of the lawn for this show for some reason. Can't really beat a $25 ticket either way tho...

I just checked my order. It says they are lawn seats, but there is also a seat number. My guess is that even the lawn seats have to be numbered or something, maybe I've just never looked that closely before. I guess I'll find out.

yah...they always give a seat number, even if it is GA or lawn. TM/Livenation probably just f'd up the seating chart...cuz their seating chart didnt even show a GA Pit. The only place i saw a GA Pit and the lawn was on the seating chart that was shown thru the fanclub presale.

So, what I am gathering is that KOL fanclub people get a presale via Ticketmaster/LiveNation?
Its not their own web thing?
its actually a presale held completely away from Live Nation/TM. They had their own sub-site set up for it...forgot the name of the site, but you had to create an account with your email...so there was no preale "password", and no way for anyone who wasnt in the fan club to get in. It was a day or two before the Citi Card presale, which was a day before the Live Nation presale.

Gotcha. So does it work like PJ, where seniority gets you better seats? I was digging on their site for details, but I coulndt find any. maybe I was looking in the wrong place?

first come/first serve into the presale. pick your tix up at will call on day of show. 4 tix per member/per show. they have a separate site for the fanclub...so unless your in it, you cant see it. $34.99 per year...but, if you were on their mailing list from before they set up the fan club, they gave you a voucher code for 1 year free fanclub.
