The Dynasty: Roc La Familia- Never heard it because I didn't know it was considered his album (thought it was considered a collaboration).

most of the songs feature collaborations but it is in fact considered a jay-z album. some weak tracks on there but some killllller tracks as well. stick 2 the script, squeeze first, and streets is talking are amazing. this can't be life was also the first song kanye ever produced for jay (i think kanye's soulful production is the best).

"In terms of rapping, the omnipresence of Beanie Sigel and Memphis Bleek spices up "Parking Lot Pimpin'," another album highlight, but is a drag on other songs, where Jay-Z seems like a guest on his own album. Guest appearances by Snoop Dogg and Scarface are much more welcome, two of only three non-Roc-a-Fella guest features here. The Dynasty plays overall like a Roc-a-Fella mixtape rather than a Jay-Z album, which means you'll have to endure a lot of promotional posse tracks, particularly toward the end of the album. Still, the few standout tracks here are career highlights for Jay-Z and well worth wading through the occasional filler to find."

Maybe I read that years ago and decided not to pick it up? I am going to give it a listen very soon. Can't wait for Watch the Throne.

you won't be disappointed. has its ups and downs but theres some classics. the intro is jay's best intro ever...read the lyrics while listening and your mind will explode. and i am also super pumped for watch the throne.
