Fleet Foxes Tour 2011

Anyone get tickets? Tickets for the State Theater show in Minneapolis went on sale at noon today. I signed on right then, had tickets in my cart in center balcony, row J, entered my CC and clicked submit, then got hit with a screen telling me "cannot process order." So I start all over, convinced that the show will now be sold out, only to end up with tickets in center balcony, row G. Bought those up and received my confirmation. I just checked again, and no tickets are coming up available, so I'm assuming it sold out. Whew!

Anyone else get tickets for a show? These guys put on an amazing show. Can't wait for the new album in a few weeks!

    I struggled out here in Portland too. I ended up having to use my phone which ended up working and I got the tix. Yea, very excited for their new album and they're playing here next Sunday night. Good band, good live show.

    I am hoping to make one of the NYC shows. New album is really good. Blue Spotted Tail is my favorite song in a long time. I got the demo over 2 years ago and I didn't even know the name of the song until I heard Helplessness Blues- I am so happy it made the cut.

    I too am very excited. Last time I saw them it was at First Ave in Minneapolis (Prince's club), which is a great, famous venue, but the acoustics there are more suited for, say, the Deftones (which I'm seeing there this next Thursday by the way), than a band like Fleet Foxes. Seeing them at the State Theater in Minneapolis should be amazing. I saw Band Of Horses and The Swell Season at the State Theater in the last year and the acoustics were phenomenal. This show should be incredible.

    Someone mentioned they already have the album? How does that work and can you help a brother out??? :D

    Gonna see them at Pitchfork in Chicago this summer. Got a chance to see them about two years ago and they were great! I really like what I've heard from the new album so far...

    The one time I saw them was at a festival. Right as they walked out to the stage the sky darkened, there was thunder, and it started raining. The lead singer said something like "Did that really just happen?". :lol: It was an awesome way to start a show.

    Yes, I love this album. They did not have a sophomore slump, thats for sure.

    The new album didn't really blow me away on the first couple listens like their last album did. But it really did grow on me over the last month or so, and now I love it.

    Don't get me wrong these guys are great artists. I'm actually streaming the new album on NPR now. But sometimes when I hear their music I feel like pulling a Bluto in Animal House and smashing a guitar... Not sure why since I like other folk americana styles of bands. I guess it's the beauty of music being so subjective. Oh, and I would never pull a Bluto for real, that would be blasphemy to the guitar and player.
