I always wondered why Sunderland fans haven't latched on to 'across the great divide' as a football song. You know, create a nice family atmosphere by singing "get yourself onside and bring your children down to the Riverside" or something stupid like that. If it worked for the Pet Shop Boys, it could work for The Band.
